I think those are just REALLY cheap to produce, so CN might as well renew them. And there's not really any proof Johnny Test doesn't get high ratings. Back when we knew the ratings for it, it was basically scoring as high as Ninjago is now.

What annoys me about this is that most of those were deathslotted and have been off the lineup for a bit now. Garfield has done good on Saturdays and I really did enjoy that show a lot, but that wasn't renewed, but shows we haven't seen in a year or two.... Casper's Scare School and Hero: 108, were renewed.

Either bad economics times can still be felt, or this easily rings "being cheap"... One more reason for people to take isse and/or desert. Sad, but true.

Well is Hero 108 even CN's own show? Do they finance it at all? My thought was it was more of an international/Canadian show that simply gets shown and syndicated pretty much everywhere.

I'm not fond with half of their programming myself, but then again, CN does carry more shows I like than Disney Channel and Nickelodeon combined. In my opinion, the only problem CN has is trying to be a Nick and/or Disney Channel alternative. The network heads of CN refuse to accept the fact that people do not want to see live action on Cartoon Network, people go to that channel to watch cartoons only. If you ask me, Nick or Disney Channel could really use the recently greenlit Nick Cannon series MUCH more than CN. It's a seemingly good concept of a show, but wrong channel.

So with Cartoon Planet on Fridays, and also the surprise of using Toonami for Adult Swim's annual April Fools Day prank (with Adult Swim encouraging people on their Twitter to ask them if they want it back for real); is it possible that Cartoon Network didn't reveal that many new projects because they have several in the works that they want to keep secret?

Normally I would say no for a normal network. However Cartoon Network is super unpredictable and ocassionaly even sometimes unrealiable in their scheduling like what they did what Generator Rex. So yeah for all we know there could be a brand new Generator Rex series in the works. At this point it also would not surprise me if one day I woke and boomerang was no a live action only network. Plus who here honestly expected Cartoon Network to launch a channel in Canada. I can honestly say I didn't so be prepared.Weird Stuff Is a foot

It isn't just because it wasn't mentioned at their upfront, but mostly from how they've treated the series in the last few months. They've stopped promoting it, moved the premieres around their lineup, got rid of its only repeat slot, took the series off their lineup all together and had the rest of the series available off other legal sites. Plus, the ratings and merchandise sales have been pretty poor. There's extremely little, if any, sign that could point to Cartoon Network being interested in another Generator Rex series. If they were, they probably woudln't have treated the current series like they did. It's more likely that they'll have a sequel to that Ben 10/Generator Rex crossover special just because of the popularity of Ben 10 and if the ratings for the first special were good enough, but the chances of Cartoon Network working on another Generator Rex series are extremely slim at best.

Well Man Of Action Did say that they have more news on Generator Rex. I guess its probably more likely though that it'll just be a second crossover. Heck I would love a second crossover. Crossovers are great too bad nickelodeon disney and cartoonnetwork can't team up together for one big crossover of their shows It would epic.

I'm aware of that announcement from Man of Action, but I seriously doubt that it involves a new series given the way Cartoon Network completely lost interest in the series and had the rest of the series released online instead of airing on their lineup. A second crossover is definitely more likely. The best that Generator Rex can hope for would probably be a movie to wrap up Van Kleiss, but even that's a pretty huge stretch and unlikely to happen.

The renew of Johnny Test is a good thing for the network actually. New episodes do decently enough, but reruns do really well for reruns being.

I don't think Generator Rex ever had a chance for a second series. If they were planning on something like that, then I think that they would have given better treatment to the series, especially when it was coming close to the finale, and be able to announce it at the Upfront. A movie to wrap up Van Kleiss would have been nice, but that didn't have much of a chance either. Perhaps a bit more than a second series, but that isn't saying much. The only one that sounded possible was a second crossover with Ben 10 since they already left the ending open enough for a sequel.

I would still be open to think a second Ben 10 crossover is still possible. Of course it'd take place in Omniverse and Gen Rex content would be increadibly toned down on its importance to the plot.

I'd *at least* imagine something will be done with the Evos in Ben (if anything is done with Gen Rex) That could lead to some fun alien-evo abominations. XD

Nothing has been said yet. If they have anything to say about it, I think that they're probably waiting until this fall. But yeah, after reading several posts in god knows how many places, I've come to the conclusion that the hype they were giving was all for nothing.

With that logic, a 2nd series might as well be just as possible as a 2nd crossover. They left new open ends in the series finale as well, such as Providence and Rex still fighting bad guys, and Breach escaping with VK and the original Pack members and preventing them from getting cured.
