InuYasha is not the new show
Correct me if I'm wrong, but has InuYasha ever aired on TOONAMI before? I don't believe it has so yes it qualifies as a new show. As for what airs at 12:30a it could very well be IY:Final Act as that would create bookends for nearly all of TOONAMI then. It is Sat after all & female viewers are valued more then vs any other time of the week. Maybe IY bookends will encourage more viewers to DVR the entire block. In any case it removes any doubt that [as] still holds a basic cable license to IY. I've updated my previous post to reflect the new times for the shows that will count in Nov sweeps.

http://schedule.adultswim.com/servle...2&timeZone=EST 11p Boon*2, 12a Bleach + ???, 1a S7 + TC, 2a ST + E7, 3a FB*2, 4a CB*2, 5a IY*2.

Well, two things. First of all, InuYasha can't be the new show starting November 10th, because it premieres in DST the week before. Secondly, there's no way they'd hype a show that has aired on Adult Swim as late as the week before Toonami began. I'm sure they wouldn't hype Big O, Durarara or FLCL if they put them back on. They actually thought of putting FLCL on after 2nd GiG ended it's first run on Toonami, though deciced not too anyways. There was never any hype. What I'm saying is that I doubt DeMarco consideres it a new show.

Totally Irrelevant. The first two ep of Inuyasha are airing in the rollback hr & they will repeat on Nov 10th at 5am. That does not exclude Final Act (ep 168+) from airing at 12:30a. I don't understand where you're getting the impression the new 12:30a show has been over-hyped. You can't hype a "fill in the blank."

As for the $ it will cost, continuing Bleach & the 2nd run of Brotherhood is not a new expense. Those were encurred in prior yrs. How much do you think old stuff like S7 & E7 cost them? Sins couldn't have cost much because it didn't even pull good #'s amongst the tiny audience of the Funimation Channel. So the only major expense was DW & that wasn't even 3 mo's long. Unless their budget shrank considerably from last yr, they should have the $ for something major.

Erm, I think he was refering to original Inuyasha as the show that isn't new, not Inuyasha: The Final Act, which most people consider a seperate series. In any case, DeMarco said on Twitter that the new show isn't Inuyasha: The Final Act, so it doesn't even matter.

That's what I think too, but since it won't be Inuyasha: The Final Act, I have to wonder what they have chosen...

Inuyasha:Final Act

DeMarco said on Twitter that the new show isn't Inuyasha: The Final Act
Do you have a link for that? I could not find it. I won't be surprised if it is Final Act, but I think it will be a short series like PSG. VIZ no doubt wants to burn off pent up demand both with the dvd/br set 1 & Neon Alley. I think a spring break time frame makes more sense for both VIZ & TOONAMI. Shows like S7, E7, & SymTit will be ending then & TOONAMI will have a lot of space freed up for both Final Act & Tiger & Bunny. Last May, DeMarco supposedly tweeted that Inuyasha was a favorite series of his & Final Act was definitely on TOONAMI's radar. He also expressed interest in Tiger & Bunny. So it would seem it's a matter of when rather than if.

Nov isn't just the release month of IY:Final Act. It's also the swan song for Bandai Ent. It will cease all video distribution after Nov 30. [as] has had a strong relationship with Bandai over the yrs so I can see them airing something more recent to help fuel a last month sales drive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Bandai_Entertainment_anime_titles There are too many possibilities to narrow it down to just 1.

No Inuyasha : Final Act .. yet

The cat's out of the bag now. The new never before aired on [as] show is the old Tenchi Muyo GXP. It's 26 ep long, but that doesn't mean it will keep it's spot for the entire run. I bet it doesn't, still I'm rooting for the show to do well.

I'm not expecting much from this past Sat's ratings as the competition rose across the board. The BO got a big lift from Wreck-It Ralph that did over $21m on Sat alone. The rest of the slate pushed Sat's BO over $51m. ALA vs LSU did NFL like PT #'s which severely weakened both Ore vs USC & Ok St vs Kan St. SNL did a 3.0 in 18-49.

I think there are 2 reasons why Sun is now the 2nd weakest night for [as]: 1) NFL. It's growth on NBC is even hurting FOX's anim dom now. That doesn't help LN any with ESPN LN being a stronger player. 2) sci-fi/fantasy drama's like True Blood, Thrones, & Walking Dead. These 3 in particular cover most of the year now as the likely destination for a large block of [as] viewers. In general Sun has gotten a lot more competitive than it was a few yrs ago. Even though new ep of RC look weaker compared to past yrs, I bet those same ep do 2m or more when they air on a weeknight. I don't think the premiere ratings are going to impact RC's budget any. I think the same will be said for TOONAMI when FOX AD HD debuts in Q1 2013.

but since it won't be Inuyasha: The Final Act, I have to wonder what they have chosen...
Tenchi Muyo GXP fills the 12:30a slot. It's a parallel series to Tenchi Muyo meaning the cameo appearances from those characters fit the same time line as the original Muyo. It's a strange choice to say the least for Nov sweeps but it could surprise on nostalgia value since Tenchi was a mainstay on CN over a decade ago. http://video.adultswim.com/schedule/onair.html Both S7 & SymTitan will end mid Feb around the time both Tiger & Bunny & IY:FA Set 2 are released. TCats will end Mar-Apr, & E7 will end May-June.

Actually, if there aren't any breaks, Eureka Seven would end on the final week of July 2013, assuming that they aren't going to double it up.
You're correct. Another 35 weeks after Dec 1st. I didn't know it was 51 ep long. It's too long for the avg fan to stomach a whiner like Renton. I don't have a problem with TOONAMI picking up "unlikely to appeal to many" shows like E7 & Sins because I value TOONAMI's diversity, but I think this stuff needs to air in the 4am hr as that is where a small loyal fan base would prove it's worth more. Inuyasha at 5am would probably help those #'s as well.

http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/11/06/ Sun's Walking Dead down to 4.9 18-49, but it's 10p & 12a beat [as] easily & Talking Dead beat [as] at 11p. TLC's Breaking Amish at 10p also beat [as]. Unfortunately we don't have the encore #'s for RC-Aqua, but the Fri 3:30a RC trailed it's lead FG by about 5%, & Sun's 2:30a VBros trailed it's lead FG by about 14%.

Where are the Inuyasha ratings? Were those not listed?

In any case, it seems that the block performed better than usual that night. Casshern Sins broke into the 800,000's for it's finale, and that's not too shabby considering it's normal range is in the 600,000's. It's also nice to see that the finale got better ratings than normal for it in the first place; sending it off on a high note and whatnot.

Eureka 7, Symbionic Titan, and Thundercats performed quite well as well, and of course Bleach and Samurai 7 earned some very good ratings this week, whcih makes two solid weeks of good ratings for them too. Let's hope that'll be a consistent thing.

Unfortuneately, Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop didn't do as well as they could've, but Inuyasha's arrival at the 5am hour might boost those later hours into the 500,000's again, which would be a welcome thing. All in all, [adult swim] is probably pleased with these ratings, and hopefully Tenchi Muyo! GXP helps the block perform better in the comming weeks.

InuYasha probably got somewhere between 600,000 and 650,000, maybe even above 700,000.

Nice finish for Casshern.

Solid performances from Bleach, Samurai 7, Eureka 7, Sym-Bionic Titan and ThunderCats.

Ouch for GITS and Cowboy Bebop, InuYasha is sure to do better.

thoose ratings are amazing .. because over 4million didnt have power cause of sandy very goo toonami

Sym-Bionic Titan actually beat the 2AM Family Guy and tied with the 1:30AM one, also beat the 12:45AM Squidbillies.

ThunderCats scored about 200,000 higher than the 2:30AM Black Dynamite on Sunday.

Eureka 7 and ThunderCats also beat the 1AM Metal and the 1:15AM Eric Andre on Sunday

Casshern Sins beat all the above and the 1:30AM Family Guy.

Samurai 7 beat all of the above and the 12:30AM Aqua Something You Know Whatever.

Bleach was mighty close to Robot Chicken.

Safe to say Sunday suffered a lot that weekend. Family Guy did quite a bit better on Saturday at 10:30 than it did on Sunday in the same slot. It was incredibly close to the 11PM Sunday airing as well which seems just about unfathomable. The 9:30PM Family Guy on Saturday got over 1.5 million itself. The Saturday airing of Black Dynamite beat the Sunday airing as well.

Those are some nice ratings. I didn't expect the block to do that well due to the hurricane and there were many people who didn't have power then. Bleach and Samurai 7 did really well and Casshern Sins had much better ratings than usual for its finale. Even Eureka 7, Sym-Bionic Titan and Thundercats did better than they have for the last couple of weeks, which is nice. I imagine that Inuyasha could possibly give the block a nice boost. I don't know how well Tenchi GXP will do though.

VB 984, Sat FG 1536, FG 2320, Clev 2015, BD 1436, Boon 1172, Blch 1110, S7 908, CS 807, E7 756, SBT 773, TCats 726, FmA:B 585+528, GitS 447+407, CB 380+454

If the way it was uploaded to Nielsen followed the pattern of how it recorded to DVR, it's possible E7 is a 90 min avg that incl's SBT & TCats. That's how the series record happened that night because of the DST rollback. What appeared on the DVR as SBT & TCats was really IY. In any case, since it was just a one shot appearance there it's no big deal.FG at 10p did surprisingly well vs coll football (ALAvsLSU), & the BO (Ralph). Cleve lost 13% of that, & BD lost another 30%. Boon surprisingly lost nearly another 20%. Blaxploitation comedy wore down the majority of FG's lead.

Son of the Bronx: ESPN and ESPN2 ratings (October 29-November 4, 2012), Probably the best way to do this comparison is to look at the top draw for both nets for a given slot. VB beat E2, but lost badly to NASCAR on E. FG's 1536 lost narrowly to NASCAR. FG's 2320 trounced both E & E2, & FG + Cleve trampled E+E2. E2 avg'd 1036 from 10:3-1a, & everything but S7 on [as] beat that easily. E2 avg'd 1168 from 1-2a which probably includes the DST rollback hr so it trampled [as] pretty easily. From 2a-3a E avg'd 701 & [as] beat that easily. From 3a-4a E avg'd 443 & FmA:B trounced that. From 4a-5:3a E avg'd 436 so it beat [as]. It jumped to 501 for 5:30-6a & that beat Bebop's jump. The fact that both jumped suggests the behavior of the two audiences is similar.

I've checked other ratings on other networks & it's a similar pattern. What's been reported for 1a-2a includes the DST rollback hr. So for [as] E7's 756 is an avg of E7+SBT+TCats. The 773 is IY ep 1, & 726 is IY ep 2. That's about a 6% drop betw ep which is pretty good for that time slot. There's no doubt the series finale of Sins lifted the space behind it.

Series drama of any kind continues to be a tough sell but premiere's are huge. [as] should consider films again. The mixed success of American Horror Story proves that it's not just zombies or vamps that can draw big. Any horror can, but it's a real challenge to maintain the fans. AHS prem'd to 3.9m viewers & a 2.2 18-49. The following week it dropped to 3m & a 1.7. The 3rd ep dropped to 2.5m & 1.5. That seems to be where it's leveled off.

I thought of Hellsing Ultimate when reading AHS set an FX record. There are other horror themed series offered by both VIZ & FUNI, but HU is designed as a mini-movie so it has a logical conclusion. I was thinking that before they go Boon*2, they could air HU ep 1 in that hour instead. [as] doesn't have to air the lengthy credit sequence or even what follows it so it can easily fit in the 1 hr space. Making use of it as a one shot, prevents the drop off even a series like AHS experiences. If the ratings are strong, it would give it's US licensor greater incentive to dub more of it.

Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
