I'm not sure, is that the one where they release two online first then as a combined physical issue at a later date?

Yea that is the one.

Of course it's not. It's just a different spin on the original show which I'm OK with.

I actually can think of a cartoon and not an adult cartoon that was uncanceled months after production ended, Kim Possible show was not renewed in early 2005, after a bunch of fan noise and continued high ratings for the reminder of what was supposed to be the final season late in the year Disney ordered another season.

But Disney is not Cartoon Network so it's not really much of a hope spot.

Yea that is the one.
Thanks. I think I read about it awhile ago and plum forgot..

New media has been provided by Cartoon Network from the upcoming all-new Young Justice episode “Runaways.” Check out The World's Finest for all the details!
Scientist talking to Blue Beetle. Well, off to look up S.T.A.R. Labs employees and BB supporting cast from the comics. lol.

A little saddened that they're probably not gonna follow directly from the end of the last ep, though it does make a little sense; fixing Kaldur's mind is gonna take a long time, this side-adventure is probably to fill in that time.

This also moves whatever plot line is gonna go on with Lex and these kids forward.

the only episode that really seems like it might be kinda fillerish in the Feb run of episodes is the Mongul one, though hopefully im wrong and it's important.

Only one clip for YJ this week though, huh different than usual but whatever.

One clip and a few less pictures than usual... hopefully they're hiding something big happening. Otherwise, I'm not going to be too happy with this one. I personally love Blue Beetle and haven't been bothered by him taking the spotlight, but I will be ticked if he's on this mission alone.... just makes no sense.

Also, that clip was kinda cheesy. This season's been getting a little too soap opera-y the past couple episodes.

Breaking Bad, Homeland, Moden Family all sucessful shows all do not have toy lines, why does this have to have a toy line in order to be deemed sucessful?
They have networks that support them ;)

I get what you're saying though. It's weird to think a show has to move merchandise to exist. I'm still not sold on that being the main reason cor cancellation.
I don't see toys of everything else on CN. Just Clone Wars (but Hasbro does Star-anything).

DVDs are the main failure of WB/CN. I don't think the the 4eps a package work, unless they're those cardboard ones that Walmart has for $5 in a bin.

The other shows you mentioned all get the full season boexed set treatment and as you said get real merchandise like t-shirts etc. Movies manage to get movie specific merchandise licensed- I have a "Dark Knight Rises" t-shirt. Clone Wars has animated style characters are on t-shirts. Someone missed out.

The only available merchandise was the McDonalds Happy Meal toys.

...What? There was a two year gap between JLU ending and CW beginning (2006-2008).
You mean the years they ran some 200 English dubs of Naruto (before cancelling Toonami)?
They're not really a successful network, they just hire some guy who doesn't know what built the channel. CN back in the day was a brand, now it's just a place people go to watch a show if it happens to be on that month. I don't see that surviving.

When are these Blue Beetle plots going to end??? There are still so many sidekicks that have had little to no develpment at all, and yet we still keep returning to BB week after week. It's a ridiculous amount of screen time, and I'm really beginning to hate his character.

I do wish that some other characters would get more screentime, but I like Blue Beetle, so I suppose I can't complain too much.

It's his villains man, the main plot more or less revolves around him and the Reach so it's expected he'd be a major major character. That said I am getting a big sick of him

This episode doesn't seem too interesting to me, since we have no hint that the Team's going to feature at all. Also, although I like the character, I am getting a bit of Blue Beetle fatigue.

The only time I got annoyed with it was in "Salvage", but his search for Tye did tie in with the main plot in Biyalia.

At the very least, you'd think Impulse would be on the mission too.

Worst case scenario for me (out of pic 6 and 7) would be a "Jaime vs Tye" fight >_> The whole friends fighting each other is trite. Also, I kinda found Eduardo's VA bad. Maybe it's because I don't yet understand why he'd want a cure for his "teleportation" powers.

I wonder why they even bothered to bring in Wonder girl to this show. Her character has done practically nothing.

Characters don't exactly need to be developed to exist. The focus of the show has gone where it has been meant to. Using a side character to serve a lesser purpose is normal.

Because Cassie rocks!

Only members I wish weren't around are Mal and Bumblebee. Mainly Karen though, Mal's ok.

But at what point? After the third hiatus? The second week YJ and GL were back in the Fall they were #1 and #2 for the whole weekend. Then CN yanked them off air without explination- did the want them to die?

I was talking about when it came back though unfortunately we don't have the K6-11 ratings for the 2nd week it was back but I have compiled most of the other weeks as well as some Young Justice ratings from Fall of 2012 when it was on at 6:30PM on Friday nights for premieres as part of the 3 hour action premiere block.

Some reruns of Dragons kept up with some of the best premiere weeks of DC Nation. That's a warning flag to CN no matter how you slice it.

I threw in other demographic numbers and total viewers when I could find them. All of this information was taken from the CN ratings threads.

I'm not going to say CN treated Young Justice or GLTAS adequately because they either screwed them with lack of promotion or questionable time slots. Though oddly enough YJ proved to get more total viewers at 10:30AM on Saturday mornings than 6:30PM on Friday nights and roughly the same ratings with K6-11 so the move to Saturday mornings wasn't really a bad choice compared to Friday but I still feel they should have given DC Nation prime time on Thursday or Saturday. Maybe YJ and GL would have gotten another season if they had done that and promoted it well enough. I somewhat enjoyed NinjaGo but there's no good reason why that show should have done better than YJ and GL and yet it did and a lot of that was Lego paying for lots of ad-time and the other part was the cushy Wednesday prime time slot against weak competition on Nick and Disney while DC Nation on Saturday mornings is staring down a double barrel of some of the highest rated episodes of SpongeBob every week.

That said, I imagine the huge amount of adult viewers and the just barely acceptable amount of kid viewers was going to get Young Justice canned one way or another. It's too bad they don't have the hindsight to make a new season for Toonami or even to try in prime time on Adult Swim. Despite all those DTV's they just aren't willing to try a teen or adult targeted DC animated series. YJ's ratings prove the audience is there and large enough to keep up with Adult Swim original series. Maybe if ya'll are going to petition and send letters you should suggest they try to market the show to teens and adults. It's very possible the reruns could end up on Toonami as it is.

Young Justice and Green Lantern draw a sizable crowd compared to other CN shows, just not the crowd CN wants just like Justice League Unlimited before them.

Runaway From Booooo Beetle

When are these Blue Beetle plots going to end??? There are still so many sidekicks that have had little to no develpment at all, and yet we still keep returning to BB week after week. It's a ridiculous amount of screen time, and I'm really beginning to hate his character.

I'm glad that the loathing of Booo Beetle (because that's what I do every time he shows up on my TV scream "Boooo") is spreading:evil:. I couldn't stand him on B:TB&TB- him and Batman are the worst, most toxic combination of characters. Both are black holes that suck up all the screen time, plots, and episodes in whatever series they're in making EVERYTHING ALL ABOUT THEM 24/7!!!!

And Impulse only makes it worse- his character reeks of "Look at me, I mangle the English language just like Robin did! I'm a hyperactive, happy-go-lucky/wangsty/quirky time traveling pre-teen to replace Dick Grayson! You don't need him anymore you have ME! LOVE ME!!!":o

I'd be happy if The League made a deal to save the Earth by getting rid of both of them. Who wants to bet that whoever's hunting the Runaways is Black Beetle! Shocking!

"Runaways" looks like a very special episode of The Jamie Reyes Show:shrug:. Where we won't even get The Team as silent cameos. What happened to Batgirl and Wonder Girl? Are they not on the show anymore? Were they fired? Are they dead? Those 2 are the most pointless additions to the cast- they don't add anything to the main plot! Or any other plot. I defended YJ way back during "Independence Day" when it only starred Robin, Kid Flash, Superboy, & Aqualad. But after watching Rocket, Batgirl, Wonder Girl, and Aquagirl all get benched or fridged- I have to say the criticism isn't unwarranted:(.

There's still a fair number of episodes left and don't forget that group shot in the trailer. The Blue Beetle stuff has run parallel to other matters, so I wouldn't go so far as to say Jaime's stuff is dominating the show. It's very important but certainly not the only thing going on. Would definitely like to see more of Wonder Girl and Barbara Gordon though.

If anything, I kind of like that in this season we're dealing with The Reach & other aliens as opposed to Apokolips being big deal (so far). I mean, that would be a big deal and exciting, but also undeniably super obvious ground that's already been well covered in other shows.

I suspect Jaime is indeed hurtling toward the future he wanted to avoid even if Green Beetle is not evil. The Scarab leaned toward the side of good (the anti-Reach side, at any rate) notwithstanding its lack of appreciation for human morality, but with all these efforts to shut it down....well. What is its attitude if it ever wakes up?

I just had a thought about The Hunt. The "band of misfits" is obviously going to include the "runaways", but what if it also includes ex-Team members? Remember the tidbit about some members not making the cut? I can totally see Arsenal getting booted soon. It'd be cool if he was leading the "runaways". And it would give us a deeper look into the Roy/Luthor connection.

My theory is that Jaime is not nearly as powerful as he used to be now that his Scarab's been basically shut off. I can totally see him dying, the Scarab being put back on Mode, and then attached to a new host. At least, I'm sure that's how it happened in Bart's future. We'll see if he can crash the Mode.
