Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

"The Smurfs introduces the 3 – 6-year-old television audience to a wide array of pro-social lessons. The series uses the narrative/educational device of a wise and patient elder who guides younger generations as they learn to deal with the complexities of interpersonal relations and with their own, sometimes quite confusing, feelings. Smurfs are tiny, blue creatures who inhabit a very magical forest, along with various wizards, imps, goblins, kings, knights, knaves … and others too numerous to mention. Each Smurf represents a particular character trait, usually encapsulated in his or her name: Brainy, Clumsy, Handy, Grouchy, Greedy, Jokey, Pushover, Vanity, Smurfette – a narrative device that helps young viewers understand some very abstract feelings and ideas. As the Smurfs confront the day-to-day events of Smurf community life, they encounter unexpected obstacles, unexpected issues, and unexpected feelings that may threaten their plans, their community, or their own self-image. We watch as Papa Smurf, the village elder, helps the younger ones figure out who they are and how they should behave, and strives to teach them the power of love and caring. Various individual episodes explore such issues as kindness, greed and sharing, fighting, perseverance, responsibility, humility, teasing, carelessness, expressing feelings, self-confidence, fears, perspective-taking, and so on… in other words, many of the same issues that any 3 – 6-year-old might encounter in the play-yard. But through all of the episodes, the overriding theme is one of love and caring. Although the Smurfs are very different from one another, and frequently seem to act at cross-proposes, Papa Smurf’s constant message is that if they love, care for, and respect one another, their community will function like a well-oiled … Smurfdom."
Who knew that Smurfs was a preschool show?

Does anybody know where I can find a "[Show #1] Returns Tomorrow Morning/[Show #2] Coming Up Next" template for Adobe Premiere?

Barbie, huh? I didn't even know there was a Saturday morning cartoon.

Could've sworn Barbie was with StarzEncore Family - maybe they lost the rights to that, too...

Nevertheless, I think KidsClick has more than enough shows to start their own channel now.

If Rocket Monkeys, Super 4, and/or Jungle Book aren't going to be on weekends, time to press F. Nice additions here too.

still waiting for Monster Buster Club

Just to recap the weekday lineup change:
  • Barbie Dreamtopia (show has no fantasy violence) replaces Rocket Monkeys
  • Monster High: Adventures of the Ghoul Squad replaces Super 4
  • Angry Birds Toons returns to the weekday lineup (since July 3, 2017) causing Oggy and the Cockroaches to move to The Jungle Book's time slot and replace it.
  • Transformers: Cybertron replaces Tranformers: Energon
There has to be at least a weekend lineup change. (I hope the new weekend lineup will include Kirby: Right Back at Ya! if so...)

I was kinda expecting Rocket Monkeys to be on weekends. On a side note, Ghoul Squad only has five half-hours...

I imagine they're also going to air a split version of the DTV, so Monster High will have a whopping seven half-hours ... Watch it stay on the block longer than Mecard did. Team Hot Wheels certainly did.

Yup, an F for Mecard, more Transformers series, and Saturday/Sunday schedules. You were right. Now tell me Monster Buster Club or Made in Abyss will be there eventually

Again, that should be discussed in the fantasy schedule thread KidsClick Fantasy Schedule

Also, Pokemon airs on Disney XD, TMNT 2003 is owned by Nickelodeon, and TF P airs on Discovery Family

There shouldn't be no reason not to, especially since that would counter the block's marketing to begin with.

Today marks the 15th Year Anniversary of ThunderCats (2011). While I find it unfortunate that the show was canceled before it had a chance to finish its story, I am glad that the show's art director was willing to give fans closure via a podcast interview.
Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
