Part of the reason why we have the 90s Underdog copies but with the 60s intro from the Shout Factory DVDs is because it's borderline impossible to replicate the original show lineup due to possible limbos that I'm not aware of

The schedules for MeTV on Directv’s guide always drastically overstate the length of this program, making it seem like it is over 3 hours long. It is actually only a half hour, preempting one of the Petticoat Junction episodes. I don’t know why this error is so persistent. Initially I thought it was intended to fool FCC regulators into thinking they’re airing more E/I than they really are, but they also have two hours of Saved By the Bell on Sunday, so I don’t see that ruse being necessary.

TV stations are only one to be punished for not follow E/I requirement, so DirecTV is just TV providers and it looked like they supplied incorrect guide. Have you reported to DirecTV? and need to find a supplier who issued the guide to DirecTV.

Apparently, it's hard to recreate the original show lineup due to the fact that some footage is owned by different companies. For whatever reason, these companies don't work together and therefore, they have to work with what they have (it's the same reason why the Rocky and Bullwinkle DVD's were mainly sourced from a 1997 foreign syndication package). Not helped by the fact that not much documentation survives of which segments were shown originally in what order.*

*From what I've heard, NBC's original 1964 - 1966 of Underdog contained 2 Underdog cartoons bookending the show with a Go Go Gophers cartoon (or a Jay Ward Aesop and Son cartoon as it would occasionally alternate) and a Hunter cartoon (consisting of reruns from it's episodes from King Leonardo and Tennessee Tuxedo) in between. When CBS picked up Underdog in 1966, Go Go Gophers and The Hunter moved to The Space Kidettes and the show now consisted of only Underdog.

One other recurring error I noticed is Directv’s listings for MeTV Saturday night have incorrectly listed Land of Giants airing the same episode twice in a row instead of listing Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. I believe that error began months ago when MeTv nationally skipped Voyage due to DST, but AZ doesn’t participate in DST… it seems like they may have aired Land of Giants twice during the hour other states skipped, then this filler programming somehow stuck on the guide, even though Voyage returned the following week.

I probably should contact Directv or MeTV about the errors. The Saturday morning cartoon block is blocked out on the guide by the overlong AZ&Me and Voyage became harder to record due to the Giants error.

Have there been any incorrect listings for MeTV Toons, or does everything usually air as scheduled besides this Captain Planet episode?

I have Colorado and Me, and this is not an E/I show it's a mandated public affairs program. Since these Me TV stations air as main stations they have to air this some sort of public affairs programming at least 30 minutes to fill. Local TV stations were supposed to serve the public.

Yeah the "public affairs" programming is what those shows are. Internet research is very unclear on what legal requirements are for showing these programs, but they seem to generally be required to air for around 30 minutes to an hour per week, much less than the E/I requirement.
On my local MeTV affiliate, KFFV, an hour from 7AM to 8AM on Sundays is filled up with this "public affairs" programming. We get a program just titled "Seattle Colleges" at 7AM, and 7:30AM airs something called "Challenge 2.0" which is apparently some kind of religious talk show. I have never watched either of these programs, so I only have a very vague idea of what they are actually about. And this is only for Seattle, elsewhere in Washington state there's apparently a program like yours called "Washington & Me", which is only 30 minutes.
None of the MeTV Toons schedule or any other of the KFFV subchannels (Catchy Comedy, StoryTV, MeTV+, Movies!, and H&I) has any of this stuff, so I assume it's on a per station basis, not per subchannel. From what I can tell not all MeTV affiliates have this, but those which are on Weigel Broadcasting owned stations do. It's very under documented so it's hard for me to fully say.

It's an FCC mandate. It's a mandate for a stations on the .1 signal. Even Ion stations have had them. In other cases stations with news get around this by having the local news. The rule is about 30 minutes a week. The ... state & ME programming is on stations owned by Weigel Broadcasting that are on .1 signals.

Arizona & Me is classified as public affairs and if has educational/informative value, so Weigel could classify if they want.

I saw Zap2It mentioned 3.5 hours of Arizona & Me but TV Guide just mentioned 3 hours of cartoon shows.

There is cactus around clock, so can't touch to change a clock in Arizona, lol.

However, Navajo Nation in Arizona opt to observe DST, so I think that fuel the confusion.

It seems like TV Guide can be broken for long time and I had issue with them on my TiVo that where I wasn't able to record Boomerang shows, so left me with manual record like back in VHS era.

Networks like MeTV and MeTV Toons are negotiated with the station, I think that's how these negotiations work for cable and satellite.

No, DirecTV already have agreement with Weigel to carry national feed (NOT local version) of MeTV.

I saw something odd just now. After The Real Ghostbusters’ title sequence, they went to a commercial break…but then went back to the show without showing any commercials or promos at all. I mean, if they weren’t going to do a commercial break, then why not just go right to the show after showing the opening?…

MeTV does that to some of their shows. The Wild Wild West comes to mind.

They do air the cartoons. But if you want to dvr them, you have to record a 3.5 hour “Arizona & Me” which also includes the hour of Beverly Hillbillies before the cartoons. Maybe it’s a way to make cartoon fans watch public affairs shows, lol. Yeah, using an old school recording method like a VCR could get around this.

Lots of interesting information being posted here. So they don’t air public affairs shows on MeTV toons even though some stations use it as a channel instead of a sub channel? But MeTV toons does abide by the E/I requirements for a regular channel? How do they get away with one and not the other?

Public affairs programming is local made programming, a station would have to opt out of national programming to run it. That's not a Metv / metv toons job to allow for space. If a station is on a .1 signal in most cases they have to , plus class A stations. Some part can be gotten around by having a full power station in the cluster run public affairs requirement. I think Weigel, gets around that itself in Chicago by having WCIU exist and airing local stuff there. MeTV Toons runs E/I programming in case they have stations somewhere that are on .1 signals. It's insurance.

Your state probably have too many cartoon fans so Weigel end up make public affairs based on cartoon shorts lol.

Like Linus said, public affairs programming is mandatory on main channel (end with .1) and not required for digital subchannels, however for weird reason, Hearst preempt two Brady Bunch episodes air public affairs on MeTV that is on 13.2.

The agreement between Weigel and DirecTV limit to one channel, also both agreed to carry H&I first few years ago before they expanded to MeTV. Future of MeTV Toons rest with DirecTV if they decide to expand.

Frndly and Philo carry national version of MeTV and MeTV Toons, also those channels are carried via bundle, unlike DirecTV and Dish.

Dish dropped MeTV last few years ago for unknown reason, so some people said Dish violated the Weigel's contract term that led to lose the channel. Dish continue to carry H&I, Start TV, etc.

Very few non-satellite providers carry national feed of MeTV, so it has with local station don't carry MeTV or refuse to retransmission.

Providers can get Start TV from Paramount (ViacomCBS) as alternative route like YouTube TV and Hulu Live TV did because Paramount own 50%.

I believe so. I know that there's a feed in Washington DC, which is near Baltimore.
