I mean you can't really blame them if it's about saving costs
although I don't know why they keep Norwegian voice but they changed Swedish and Danish
I guess that you're right... I'm just a little bit shocked that it happened all of a sudden, the Swedish announcer has not been changed for so many years, and now he got replaced with an AI.

Al voices is just something we have to get used to I guess
I'm assuming having an AI voice is cheaper

As long as AI voices don't ruin it in other more serious departments...

I'm kind of conservative when it comes to this: if they wanted to cut costs, why not ask someone from the Discovery side to do the announcements, instead?

Yeah, that would make sense for them to do that, even if it was bland it's still better than using AI.

Just saw the Swedish TT GO! promo.

The announcer's voice speeding up is characteristic of an AI voice.

Also, is this chicken nugget wannabe the SpongeBob counterpart in the awards episode?

CN in Europe is a lost cause, I'm concerned that other teams will have to resort to AI soon
nah I don't think they will use AI for the bigger countries (UK Italy Etc) I think they're going to use AI for the smaller countries first as we see with Sweden and hungry

Concerned that CN PT's team will do that too

the Spanish team? unless boing does it I don't think the Spanish team is interesting in AI voices

at least Nickelodeon only did it for one audio track and for Nicktoons (and it is very recent too) CN doing it for two audio tracks replacing established human voice actors doesn't sit right with me and I'm hoping that other feeds don't do it although you never know...

Doesn't surprise me if what happens to the remains of the Russian audio track will fall under AI. The Latvian studios seem to be underpaid.

Either that or they should start releasing Baltic dubs for the linear channels. Recent investments made by Nickelodeon (even though they're all voiceovers) did work.

yeah especially because Latvia is small country in terms of population compare to other European countries (it only has 1 million people)

i dont think they will start releasing Baltic dubs most likely there just going to use AI ilke in Sweden and hungry already

Imagine if Romania becomes the next target for AI announcers

They're testing the waters for AI generated voices on their network

It seems like they're going with network ratings per country.

Who cares, kids networks are facing a slump because of the online move

CEE it's actually one of the few regions where TV is stll doing well and even there CN seems to be losing viewers
kids these days watch cocomelon or skibidi toilet or whatever on YouTube and tiktok

And in Portugal we have the problem of the declining birth rate. I guess that secondary markets are no longer a priority for localized feeds.

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
