Deano is a boy…an eight-year-old Australian boy, and the subject of an adult animated comedy series coming to Hulu. He looks like this:
Created by Dean Thomas and cartoonist David Ferrier, Deano is inspired by Thomas’ past as a kid growing up down under, and based on his web cartoon “Childish Deano.”
Deano is described as “a spirited, cheeky charmer of a boy, whose tough exterior coats a real heart of gold.” His living situation leaves a lot to be desired; he resides in a run-down shack located in the toughest neighborhood around. However, none of this registers with Deano — he remains happy, unaware and naive. He “embraces everyone equally, from the local teenage dropouts to the town police chief. At the heart of the series is Deano’s friendship with Kit, his timid best mate from the wealthy side of town.”"
