    I'm sure I saw the "gorier version" ...might dig catching the "funnier version" (it might have helped if I thought it was making fun of itself ;)

    ...The only Metal Hero show I recall watching in Japanese was Jumpasan: Future Police ...it played in a block with Dairanger and then Kakuranger so it was on the tapes I rented ...American-wise, I watched Beetle Borgs (so-so) and VR Troopers (which I liked too)

    ...Oh, and thanks for the link, I should have the Guyver blu-ray set on Wednesday ;)

    Blu-Ray for about 30ish. Not bad.

    Anyway.
    I got a really well done fan-made DVD of the VHS of the OVA (complete with subs and moving interactive menus).
    I got the 2-DVD box set of the 12 ep.

    I've seen the live-action ones... a lot! More than I'm proud to admit. LOL.
    I'm actually thinking of buying the (gorier version) Guyver on VHS, and buying the (censored and funnier version) one on DVD. And hope to make my own edit of the movie, with the gore of the VHS and the extended scenes of the DVD.
    And yeah, the first one is cheesey, but if you caught the theatrical cut (VHS) it's not as funny and it's got more gore.

    I love the Sentai stuff.... mostly.
    I never got into the Kamen Rider stuff. Just didn't like it that much. I've liked a lot of the Super Sentai things. I even enjoyed a lot of the Power Rangers/American Versions.
    I also LOVE the Metal Hero stuff. Space Sheriff Shaider and my favorite METALDER (which is itself a remake of Kikaider, which practically started a lot of this stuff anyway).
    I also love VR Troopers and will defend that show to the death.
