Yeah... I'm surprised that the Sharks didn't make it to the Finals last season. I kinda thought after all those years of quick playoff exits, last year was finally going to be the year they won it all.
It's strange, because they seemed to handle Detroit quite easily (whom I thought was the best team they faced, out of the three), and yet, still looked so flat against Chicago. Obviously Chicago is a talented team, but I thought the Sharks were (seemingly) more well-rounded, at least on paper.
Oh well. I guess we'll see how they do this year. They have a new goalie, which could help their chances. I never thought Evgeni Nabokov was all that bad, mind you, but I guess it was clear that they needed to go in a new direction. Now that they've got someone with a Stanley Cup on their resume, it should make things interesting when the playoffs roll around.
