International Nickelodeon Thread Part 16

Here's my most accurate list yet of all of Nickelodeon's feeds worldwide:
Independent Nickelodeon feeds operated directly by Paramount or its subsidiaries:
  • Nickelodeon USA (incl. the United States and its territories)
  • Nickelodeon Germany (incl. Germany and Austria)
  • Nickelodeon Italy
  • Nickelodeon UK (incl. the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland)
  • Nickelodeon Israel (Ananey Communications, LLC)
  • Nickelodeon Australia
Global feed compound:
  • Nickelodeon Global Unlimited (incl. Nordics, Portugal, South Africa, Malta, Central and Eastern Europe, Balkans, Baltics and Central Asia and Caucasus)
  • Nickelodeon Global (incl. rest of Sub-Saharan Africa, Arab countries, Turkey, Central Asia and Caucasus and Southeast Asia)
  • Nickelodeon Commercial Light "Netherlands" (incl. Netherlands and Dutch-speaking Belgium)
  • Nickelodeon Commercial Light "Switzerland" (timeshare with the non–VIMN-owned and -operated channel 7+)
  • Nickelodeon Commercial Light "Latin America" (including Mexico and the rest of Spanish-speaking Latin America)
  • Nickelodeon France (incl. France, French-speaking Belgium and French-speaking Switzerland)
  • Nickelodeon Commercial (incl. Spain and Poland)
Other channels not operated by Paramount but using the Nickelodeon name under license:
  • Nickelodeon India
  • Nickelodeon HD+ (India)

And here's a list of all the current Nicktoons feeds to my knowledge:
Independent Nicktoons feeds operated directly by Paramount or its subsidiaries:
  • Nicktoons USA (incl. the United States and its territories)
  • Nicktoons UK (incl. the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland)
Global feed compound:
  • Nicktoons Global (incl. Nordics, Netherlands/Dutch-speaking Belgium, Germany/Austria/German-speaking Switzerland, Central and Eastern Europe, Balkans, Baltics, Central Asia and Caucasus, Middle East and North Africa, Turkey and Southeast Asia)
  • Nicktoons France (incl. France and French-speaking Switzerland)
  • Nicktoons Africa (Sub-Saharan Africa)
  • Nicktoons Commercial Poland

Oh, and is the Dutch Nicktoons the only version of Nicktoons available in Belgium? Because it sounds to me like that might be possibly the case based off of my research. @Red Arrow
Nicktoons Africa is just Nicktoons Global with local variations like Nick In Your Language and no The Loud House. I mean it hasn't been Nicktoons Africa in years outside of those two and I think Nick In Your Language is dead even they do still air dubbed content but I feel it's being phased out like NickMusic.

Nicktoons didn't launch in Southeast Asia, despite Nickelodeon Asia shared the same schedule with Nicktoons Global in 2023-2024

This AI thing is gonna bite them in the arse hard. We've seen how Sora imploded. I'd give it 4 more years, absolute worst case scenario.

Also yeah, really scummy if they're just cloning voices without consent. Aren't there laws on that sort of thing?

Pinky Malinky promo on Nicktoons HD Poland was lectored by Wiktor Brzozowski.

The problem is that they sacked tons of announcers over tons of languages

Or rather, announced.

I wouldn't say "lectored" if it's not a voice reading translated character dialogue overlayed on top of original audio.

Lectored promos would have the original audio behind.

Honestly, I no longer believe our feed is so «commercial» anymore, it has adopted the other Global feeds' bad habits (⏯️ tag, copyright fraud board, ads never returned, and now AI-generated voiceover, we might as well even lose the promo endboard text...)

"Brzy na Nick J R"

Masterpiece. It’s already clear that everything is going downhill since the advertising purge in many CEE countries

With a lot of staff fired, there comes a lack of grammatical knowledge

Schedule-wise it's still in the Commercial Light group though, which has some slight differences to the Global Unlimited scheduling, but is overall pretty similar.

Due to PAL/NTSC differences I doubt they'll fully merge with Global Unlimited anytime soon, although it is a possibility

EDIT: They ACTUALLY did it already! Just pay attention to this (it's an AI recreation of one of its now-former announcers):

It still sounds a lot like Patricio Lago, so if this really is AI, it's a really good clone... Still, I wouldn't be so sure that this is AI, even if he does sound slightly more dull

The different wording with the 24-hour-format in the endboard might have been caused by a change of the promo translators - similarly to how the German translator(s) changed with this promo too

Did anything happen to the Danish, Swedish and Norwegian announcers on Nickelodeon, Nicktoons and Nick Jr. (and the Finnish announcer on Nick Jr.)?

Now that I think of it, Nickelodeon LatAm is more likely to use AI voiceovers than Nick Jr. LatAm...

EDIT: They ACTUALLY did it already! Just pay attention to this (it's an AI recreation of one of its now-former announcers):

Personally I don't think this is AI. He sounds a little less enthusiastic, but it's not nearly as bad and robotic as the AI announcers from the Czech/Polish feeds.

I'd say it's better to wait for more promos to roll out before jumping to conclusions. If it is a clone, then the flaws will eventually start to show up (Like the "Nick J R" from the AI Czech announcer...)

A sign of AI dubbing is letting the voice model translate a machine translation using a large language model without human supervision.

Well, it seems Super! might indeed shut down

According to Sandro Verduci, a dubber and apparently a worker in the "cartoon" world, apparently Paramount is having an internal reorganisation, and the channel could shut down.

No doubt about that, once you remove Super! and the people managing it, the chances of Italy getting pan-feeds becomes higher, but let's see

...I fear for what it will replace it. There are zero editors that can open a channel, unless De Agostini decides to dip again into the Italian DTT. Or Yamato manages to snag the LCN 47 for MAN-GA.
AMC Networks can't save us. Narrative yeeted POP. All of this is so bleak.

I personally couldn't care much, as obviously the channel has been unstable for some time, and there were signs with Pluto TV.

All in all, Manga for LCN47 would be extremely better, but it's not a kids channel.

I expect that slot not to be reused

I obviously feel sad for the people working at Paramount though

Although, for now, there's no confirmation

Well, between MAN-GA and a channel made by Gold TV, I'm taking the first option. I wonder why waiting in the middle of the year and not close it with all the other channels at the end of the year.

Well, not everything has to shut down at the end of the year, if they are losing money, they could even shut down next month.

Overall, the turning point for the channel definitely was DeAgostini leaving, it has been quite "cheap" ever since.

If even Nickelodeon Germany is unstable...

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
I don't know I gonna post it but i think I may had spread the disney abandoning blue sky studios like they did with fox kids/jetix propaganda onto awinger24 and now hes fears of paramount & warner bros
Europeans right now are experiencing the same Heatwave that africans face on a daily basis lol
