Boomerang International News and Discussion Thread 5.0

I trust the webaite more than one person if the source isn't provided since I doubt schedules lie unless they are updated at the last second. My local Telsu site has all the correct data from a decade ago.

I really wish more websites would archive schedules. TV24 UK and Sweden sites do it now but they started late. Only in 2018.

Unfortunately, archiving them costs quite a lot, you have to keep so many websites active for each schedule.

In March 2022, and until the site closed, tv.acasa.ro had only 2016-present schedules.

I get it but people would appreciate it even if it costs. I think they could even ask people for support to keep up the archives. Something Wayback does.

Yeah, same, I enjoyed browsing that site a lot, when I saw how different the schedules were back then, I was amazed. And think that from 2006 to 2022 they kept all the schedules, it's insane.

But sadly, it's gone forever now.

There used to be a site that covered all the Nordic schedules by archiving them in mid 2010s but even that is gone. I should have posted them here in advance but as a kid, I wasn't interested to post them even thoug I've been here for 10 years.

Photo from October 2010 back when Digi started to add the Romanian audio track on Boomerang EMEA:

Looks like at some people, the Hungarian track was replaced by the Romanian one. Back when I got it, I still had the English and Hungarian audio tracks.

When the channel was added back in early 2008, most of the shows weren't got the Hungarian dub, until the Scooby-Doo series. At the time the channel was under the alias "Service 8" in the satellite platform: One DTH (műholdas szolgáltatás) - 2485. oldal - Netboard

I also got all three tracks as well, rather than Romanian taking over Hungarian. At one point, somehow even the Polish track ended up here (and I know it wasn't supposed to happen so), but after the separate CEE feed launched that was gone

Interesting how back when Digi added the channel in 2010, they listed the channel with the US logo on their website:

I didn't have Polish in 2010-2011. But for a short time in mid-2014 I had also the Polish and Russian tracks, although the channel was going downhill in that year.

Having the wrong logos on platforms' websites was so common, I had stopped to track down these "mistakes" at one point.
Romania is not unique at that

Don't worry, in Italy we have TV Sorrisi e Canzoni that still uses the old logo for History. I get that Hearst took their sweet time to do the rebrand in Italy, but, still.

Kolla.tv still shows the Boomerang ribbon logo from 2011 even though by now it has the Cartoonito schedule.

tv.acasa.ro used to show the same logo until the site closed down.

Tom and Jerry Tales made it's return to Boomerang France. No Baby Lemmings yet but I assume that one of the France channels airs it first and then air it on Boomerang 6 months later. Just like what has been done with Totally Spies with exclusive window.

Over here, it airs on a local channel named Moldova TV.
If we don't count Boomerang, the last time a local channel here aired it over a decade ago.
