We can wish but another Boing launching won't be happening. Realistically.
But how come boing launched in Africa if it were never launched cheddar in arab world
In other side . Turkey used to had boing as a block for the channel

Oh, I forgot. Since this week, the "full" version of the TTG S9.4 promo now is showing the on-screen timeslot as well on CN CEE. It wasn't shown at first because of the announcer mentioning "coming soon"..

Some channels just don't have a room to launch and if they do, they fail. Especially nowadays it's risky.

Speaking of which, is there a reason Boing launching meant Cartoon Network and Cartoonito had to shut down in Spain?
Because there was a pay TV downturn back in the day in Spain, so obviously Turner chose to keep more profitable Boing in favour of keeping both CN and Cartoonito under paywall
Austria should really be Österreich in the acronym if using native languages (DOCH), but the acronym is using the international vehicle codes so DACH it is (means "Roof" in German), it would be DEATCH if using ISO codes, which would be too close to Dutch or Deutsch. :D

Confoederatio Helvetica is the perfect neutral Latin term for Switzerland, and it's always known as CH by everyone. CN Germany is known as CN GAS (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) internally, as someone who used to work for Turner part-time patroned the international threads on here years ago said it was, and it's also self-evident on the WBD website (see the URLs for press releases from that region "de-gas", and also the country switcher).

Regarding ad sales for Nordic, as far as I know, it has always been in-house: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bofalkostergaard
My guess is that they choose DACH because it rolls out of the tongue better, almost working as its own word, in spite of it being inconsistent as an acronym :D
Or again, just call it Germany. There's no wrong answer. We don't use the CEE name used in their official documents but use GAS which is questionable because by that logic we should use official names for every single country. I refuse to use GAS to not confuse it with the actual gas.
But capitalised no one would object, even if yes, there's no right or wrong answer on this issue (Germany vs GAS: it is a "German" feed anyway)

I use DOG (digital on-screen graphic) for "on-screen logo", and I think many people here - and in similar places - understand what I'm talking about :D

In languages, it's all about the contexts

I understand what a DOG means. I even know what GAS means but I always read it as the actual gas before realizing what it really means. Most YouTube videos even have the word "Germany" so I'm used to say that. If the documents for whatever reason say GAS, people can say that. It is not affecting anyone-

I also primarily call that feed Cartoon Network Germany too, even though I'm well aware that it served the multiple German-speaking countries and not just Germany alone.

Then the argument becomes also about CN France. It should have been officially called CN FS due to serving in Switzerland. Their logic is inconsistent.

Whatever it is, we will call these channels how we want and how it is more confortable for anyone. Like I said, calling the feeds by the country which the primary target represents is the easiest.

Also, for the on-screen channel logo, I mainly use "on-screen bug" (even in my YouTube CN CEE uploads I called it so)

I always use bug even though I discovered the DOG acronym in 2005 when I entered the British TV rabbit hole. I still use bumper a lot.

"Bumper" used for the on-screen bug? LOL. Feels weird, considering the term is most commonly used for the filler material from the channel breaks, which most internet geeks know

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
