Yes not even for WE which is decent enough looking. CN Japan however has the 00s schedule vibe.Either way a varied schedules like in the 2000s will probably never come back.

Yeah, with the channels airing a narrower amount of showsEither way a varied schedules like in the 2000s will probably never come back.
my favorite schedules are the ones for the american feed in late 2010-summer 2011. CN peaked there IMO.Yes not even for WE which is decent enough looking. CN Japan however has the 00s schedule vibe.
CEE had The Looney Tunes Show and Scooby Doo Mistery Incorporated while RSEE did not and neither the rest out of nowhere..I don't see them even having those now.You only focused on negatives but here's how it's improved:
- Adventure Time and Regular Show reruns which they would have refused without being merged.
- Holidays are treated like a big deal with a lot of shows with variety.
- On-air presentation feels alive again and more updated.
If you think they would have done all of these without the merger, prove me wrong but merging was literally the best thing to happen with CEE even if the regular lineup hasn't improved much.
It's an industry trend, even the general channels lost varietyThe 90s had a different show every 15 minutes!!! The schedule variety went hand in hand with the on air creativity.
yup, the irony is that today that schedule makes more sense due to lower attention span, but no, instead we get marathons... the owners are stoooooopid as Dexter would say and out of touch, has to be saidIt's an industry trend, even the general channels lost variety
Yeah, we don't control these trends however, and for some channels, the decision is mainly commercial in natureyup, the irony is that today that schedule makes more sense due to lower attention span, but no, instead we get marathons... the owners are stoooooopid as Dexter would say and out of touch, has to be said
Even if the streaming bubble bursts, I don't expect the return of variety. CN PT launched with limited variety and that was before Netflix even launched here. Then they started spamming weekend with marathons in 2014.Unless the streaming bubble starts popping out or even the channel owners don't make these changes themselves, that variety we expect from the channels won't return anytime soon.
we do but its a 22, less variety=less viewers->invest in streaming and repeat without tryingYeah, we don't control these trends however, and for some channels, the decision is mainly commercial in nature
That's only because of no streaming. If technology was advanced earlier with streaming being available, we would have never been in this situation. They all want us to go streaming which means they are purposely giving less variety on the channel. The 90s had a different show every 15 minutes!!! The schedule variety went hand in hand with the on air creativity.
Maybe in the US but there's still a good amount of shows in other places. It's funny though. Some shows are now exclusive to cable when it should be the other way around. A lot of shows are only on streaming but now it seems more and more titles are going to be linear exclusives. I think cable is still pretty good to have with uncertainty on streaming. The problem is that streaming itself isn't better, with so many series removed from HBO Max, it's kinda useless too.
Does someone offer to open the new thread when this one reaches the limit? So that the issue with duplicate ones being opened at the same time doesn't appear, like it was the case with this one.6 to go, and we will reach '26, in 2026!
If someone else isn't going to inform to open it, I can do it but I can wait for replies first.Does someone offer to open the new thread when this one reaches the limit? So that the issue with duplicate ones being opened at the same time doesn't appear, like it was the case with this one.
