I think it's going to be harder to expand CN WE into Italy, I heard their laws are more strict.

They can definitely find a compromise but I feel like Sky itself wants it to stay local.

TV barely has anything risky these days but I can understand your concerns about the problems. But those are so small that I don't see a point to change the screenbug right now.

Like I said, I prefer the CN UK bug. However the current one is at least better than the small bug from the German team. It doesn't change my experience but it shouldn't affect you either whether it has translucency or not. Plus I doubt you are watching CN WE in Italy. Unless they are really going to add that to your market sooner or later

It is a general concern though, not just related to CN WE.
And, while a minority problem, it is still a potential problem for some, just as the lack of subtitles and audiodescription can be on TV channels.

I prefer the CN UK slightly because my mind is a bit used to the UK sizes rather than the previous German ones, as well as making the "CN" a bit more making sense, but all in all, I don't care so much about the DOG size, as long as the DOGs/bugs don't act like "look at me".

I remember seeing CN RSEE schedules on Baltic sites when I had my Baltic TV obsession in late 2010

The new viewers need that "look at me" though to understand which channel they are watching.

It is what it is but they will likely stay like this until the next rebrand, who knows if there even will be one.

CN for what it is makes sense compared to the original feed that is on autopilot. Let's enjoy what we have. The screenbugs are not as important as the TV shows for a viewer. Better to worry about the lack of subtitles than a screenbug.

Well, people (not you) shouldn't talk about what they don't know.

Italian laws are not particularly more strict on casual censorship (so much I find the UK channels, at least before the 9pm watershed, to be more strict), and certainly not more strict than many of the CEE countries, so CN WE could well broadcast there.
Yes, our government is not my favourite thing, there's some government interference on public broadcasting, definitely, but casual censorship is not much of a thing.

The link to localised Boing and the fact Boomerang is a kind of Italian pay TV Cartoonito, are more reasons because CN WE does not broadcast in Italy, yet at least.

CN WE could well broadcast in Italy, especially if the licence is moved to Czechia where other CNs are

I think I know enough so I'm aware how laws work so I guess I can keep talking. I just haven't looked too specifically at them. Like I said already, they can definitely have CN WE but I don't know if Sky is willing to accept that. They want their channels to stay local is what I think.

sky Italia does have a few "delocalized" channels such as disney jr and mtv so CN WE on sky is not impossible also helped by the fact there is no +1 channel anymore and they started using textless bumpers

Boomerang will stay local for obvious reasons

It seems like cn arabia aired the promo of "cartoon network team" block . Wish was a part of promoting the world cup for any shows . And it seems like they used the promo from cartoonito MENA . And it was also featured the bugs bunny builders on that promo and other shows like batwheels (yes batwheels is airing on CN arabia )


And to this day . CN WE/CEE and even UK still dont adversite world cup Mundial anymore . Or even making toon cup as of today despite everything went shutdown from the company

There are also no football bumpers. 2018 was the latest, 2022 was impossible due to it clashing with Christmas.

The app is still active on Google play and app store . But it's just that it doesn't have an updates since the last update was in 2024 anymore

IIRC the last time they made an updated World Cup game was in 2022. For Euro 2024 they did nothing and within months the website purge began.

No. The classics are there. I didn't write them because the same shows are on the same timeslots as the weekday schedule. I posted the weekday schedule earlier.

I gotta say I really don't like a lot about how CN UK has been handled -- continuity still being produced in SD, their rampant censorship, Gumball and TTG spam, refusal to acknowledge classic content when literally every other feed is doing so....
