Great to see the continuation of the golden turd thing. It's just more proof that the show is capable of going for a few minutes without any jokes and it can still hold one's interest.
Yeah, I think they could afford to because the episode was consistent and funny up until that point. If it was more like Family Guy, it probably would've felt excessive.

Wow, where will the story go? Maybe the wife will take it in for herself? Will she fall into the same fate of death? Why am I asking so many questions about this? Or would you ask them too? (i'll stop)

This reminds me of the last season finale in that Stan took so long to try and get something done.

Roger reciting the Breakfast Club ending was one of the neating things I've seen in the show. Hard to believe these are the films that he is in love with. (although it's not a bad thing necessarily;)

I guess Debbie won't be in continuity anymore as Steve's girlfriend. She may pop up as an in-joke maybe.

Maybe this episode was written before last week's? I'm still holding out hope.

Awesome job tonight. MacFarlane's shows came off the strongest tonight, because they were really both equal tonight.

Like the Golden Turd story, but Now I want to see where it goes, or will we have to wait till season 3 for the next part?

4.5/5

Am I the only one here who didn't like this episode and it's ending (which is basically an jerkass move IMO)?

Another good episode! Halfway through I felt they REALLY wasted that plot of Stan going to get his persuasive power back, but it all paid off in the end. Awesome!

The golden turd thing was great too because I wasn't sure if they'd continue the story. Now they pretty much HAVE to (or at least I hope they do). I wonder how long it'll go on for.

I can't remember them now, but Steve had some GREAT lines! Sadly, I'm afraid Hayley's been getting the Meg treatment lately. First she acts out of character in the Refugee episode and now she's doing things for money? I hope this streak doesn't continue.

Eh this one wasn't the best but there were still some great parts to it, like Roger reciting the end of the Breakfast Club, that was awesome. And I liked how Stan would suddenly appear out of nowhere after visiting his sensei.

Not the best episode but it was still enjoyable. Just a solid B.

The ending felt a little bad, but it's certainly not out of character for Stan to do something that irresponsible.

"It gets Radio Disney! Why did I say that!"

Gah I missed the second half and I can't believe the Golden Turd returned. I hope it reruns on Adult Swim soon since this episode felt like it was going to be one of the best.

Go back to the talkback for the first episode with the Golden Turd. I posted somewhere in there that it made sense because they were probably planning to continue it in a future episode. WOO, can I call 'em or what?

This was one of the best AD's ever, and proof that Stan can be just as funny as Peter. Loved it to shreds. A plus for the writing team!

WOW- this episode totally blew my mind! Flat-out HILARIOUS! Everything about it- EVERYTHING- I loved.

this is why American Dad is currently higher up in my book than Family Guy- sorry, but it had to be said :D

No. No, it really didn't. Just because they're from the same creator doesn't mean they have to be compared.

No, no, definitely not... feeling bad for Hayley in particular.

Is it me, or is our plucky liberal contracting "Meg Syndrome" lately?

Speaking of which, what episode was that? I want to go back and read the talkback to see how we first reacted to it.

Homeland Insecurity.

Ahh, the Golden Turd did appear previously. And here I was, wondering, "Dang, why the hell does that Golden Turd look SO familiar, yet I don't know where?".

That said, I felt very surreal when that scene played out, but it intrigued me nonetheless. I think I liked it more then the actual episode (which was good, was shocked as well that Stan planned the whole thing).

After seeing this episode, I can safely call Stan the worst father and husband in the world.

I enjoyed this episode. I thought it was funny when that lady thought that Francine and Haley were latinas just because they were house servants, never mind that they can speak English fluently.

That was awesome! I loved seeing that Golden Turd thing continued. I hope they reveal what happened to Roger's baby someday.
