It's funny how "The Room" manages to become even more popular (in a "we hate you" sort of way) despite his best efforts to get rid of it.

The NC video removal just pushed it up from obscure crap to full-on meme.

He's also going to be in Australia when I attend Manifest. It's him and me as the only guests.

He's gonna think I'm stalking him.
Actually, I think he might be stalking you.
You should stalk him to find out if he's stalking you.

That's what I did with my ex-girlfriend.
Man, that chick was crazy.

Outlaw Star Abridged 3 is up, weighing in at 14:26 minutes long.
Airrest has maad skills for the music and sfx cues in this one. Not a lot of series pay that much attention to cues. I know I just slap a BGM under the vocals to hide mic quality issues and lack of ambient noise when I edit, adding sfx only if omitting would be super obvious.Even then, I just fill in partial sfx for a scene and cover the rest with music so no one notices. I really wonder how many people catch stuff like that.

Also, I'm liking the new time limit. It's better than clicking the ever changing side/related vid bar when an episode had multiple parts or writing and editing episode parts to fit around a break. Right now abridging is based more on quick set up and execution or reference of jokes. I kinda wonder if the limit will allow writers who excel at more elaborate setups to shine, or perhaps even give more non-humorous/non-joke based fan-derivatives space to grow (yay character development!).

Mynd's got Gantz The Abridged Series: The Filler Chronicles up. Two segments, quite funny. Was Gantz always unbleeped?

Anyhow, the turn in the plot was very surprising. The hunter becomes the hunted...

Huh, nobody seemed to want to link TFC yet. So I shall.

Part 1
Part 2

Now unlike VEAS, THIS is a finale. Good usage of the filler characters from I Don't Care Guy to Old Man Who Likes Well-Orchestrated Death, some nice usage of music and of course the usual odd surreality that we always find in Gantz Abridged. Oh and a cameo and an awesome opening... Don't forget those. It was about damn time. :)

Also, remember that AbridgedYetAgain productions and their Gundam 00 Abridged? You don't? Well, it's back again with episode 2. Better quality on this episode in terms of everything, especially video quality, and enjoyed the likening of Setsuna to the very things that made George Romero popular, Graham's heartfelt attempts to interest and look into the Gundam, and of course a great blink-and-you'll-miss-it reference to Big O.

I was about to. And I'm glad someone is finally talking about it. Best finale ever. And its competition was the first GAS finale. God I've missed Gantz Abridged, and while I never found VEAS to be as good, Mynd never lost his touch; this feels like it could easily have been released right after the first finale such a long time ago. In fact, as much as I was pissed that we never got it in all that time, I couldn't be happier that we finally get more of this great series after so long. The new characters are all given unique and hilarious personalities, the soundtrack was even better than most of the series' previous music choices (or maybe I just thought that because of Never Gonna Give Up Your Teen Spirit), and there's just something about Gantz Abridged humor that makes me laugh my ass off like nothing else. It's understandable that the opening should be a little different, and it was done very well, but nothing compares to Kaiser's pure awesome original opening from the series. But this was pretty much perfect otherwise, and it didn't hurt that it called out every problem I had with those filler episodes, like the "this series is really meant to talk about the war in Iraq, right guys?" and especially the very ending. I can't imagine anyone seeing that ending and not thinking the same thing, but the way this "WTF ANIME STAFF?!" call-out was executed so well that it still made me want to shout some "amen"s the whole time. This only got better as it neared its ending, right up until the final song of mashups and memories, and the final scene... my God, so... brilliant. It's too bad those guys aren't doing anything anymore. So in conclusion, well, it's nice to finally get the final conclusion to what I consider to be the best abridged series not currently running, and it's a lot nicer to see that Mynd was at the top of his game for this important send-off. And since that means he's really completed THREE series (there are like what, 4 or 5 others who have completed one?), yeah... Mynd is pretty much God. I guess that means I can understand if he wants to take a break for however long, although I would like it if he could dump out some more commentaries for the rest of VEAS and eventually, these final episodes.

Just when you think that the hilarity has reached its peak, TeamFourStar manages to top itself yet again. Episode 17 is fantastic. From Zarbon's true preferences to Ghost Nappa's quick revival of Vegeta to the awkward phone call overheard by the Ginyu Force to the final lines of the episode, you cannot go wrong. TeamFourStar, Mynd/hbi2k, Taka, LK, Lani, Masako, Vegeta3986, Megami, Kaiser, and all included, keep up the great work. I need to go put myself on the donor list for a new funny bone, because mine just exploded.:D

Great episode.

I expecially liked the Ginyu scene with them snickering

and Lanipator and LK were phenomenal

nappa was meh

And Appule was great

Keep up the good work

Why did he leave Appule of all people there anyway? (Oh god, the Budokai Tenkaichi moment was just some crazy awesome editing)

I died at that squeeeeee Goku made.

Oh yes, we also have Kampfer Abridged 04. A better episode than the last one imho, The interactions between Natsuru and the President were amusing, and the last bit wasn't quite bad at all. Solid, if not at all spectacular.

Same goes for TFS Episode 17, but with some great moments. I was more amused at the technical level and competent writing than anything else and how it tied things together, most notably on the Namek part. Favourite bits were Vegeta's rendition "I've got a lovely bunch of Dragonballs.", the "Fly around like a jackass/I was gonna say" bits, and of course figuring out Zarbon's true sexual preferences. The reveal was great, although the follow up was good in its own way. Interesting that he is such when his dialogue is just so horrifically laden with innuendo. Not as spectacular as Dodoria's reveal, but good enough in its own way.

The newest DBZ abridged is probably now one of my favorites, Vegeta's dragonball song pretty much made me laugh out loud, and the whole Zarbon not being gay the entire time was a pretty hilarious awkward moment. I gotta say they handled Zarbon perfectly, something tells me I'm going to love how they handle the Ginyu force.

"KILL HIM WITH FIRE!"

Real question though, was Freeza pretty much going to kill Vegeta right after he got healed up again? Man I need to re-watch Namek again..

He was going to torture him to find the Dragon Ball he hid. That shot of Oran was originally him telling Freeza that a village had been decimated and Freeza knew it was probably Vegeta, who now had that missing Dragon Ball.

Funnily enough, in the comic it is Appule who finds the village and reports back to Freeza. From there he is told to some the Ginyû Special Force.

IIRC, he was just going to ask him where he hid the Dragon Ball from that village, but he probably was going to afterward. (EDIT: D'oh, beaten by Jacob.)

Anyway, awesome episode, TFS. You had me at the Zarbon disclaimer, but everything else just added onto it. Loved that he was actually straight this whole time yet his lines are full of innuendo (and Freeza's reaction), Vegeta's "Lovely Bunch of Dragon Balls" (this shows he could use a musical XD), the Ginyu scene, the Goku/King Kai scene (especially Goku's squeal), "I'm going to grab him and we're going to--" "69, 70, 71...", "...and we're going to make love every--Kill it with fire!", the "Flying like a jackass/I was going to say" bits, and, of course, Vegeta's "I'm going to blow my load all over your insides. No homo." (sounded like a real badass there, lol.) Also, lolGuru.

I'm loving how hilarious this season's been, and I can't wait for more. XD

...Man I kind of forget that Freeza was actually a pretty hardcore villain. I blame the future filler episodes after Namek that make him look weak and silly.

This is the guy who commits genocide and sells planets for fun, of course he's hardcore. :p

Two things.

hbi2k, I have made quite a few comments about how I think your writing has gotten better, but the other actors have gotten in the way of the comedy. Before, people thought I was hating on VEAS, and while I personally didn't like it, the charm of your writing made me stay to the end, and while it was generally weaker than Gantz, I was willing to blame the most part on poor acting, rather than the writing. Gantz TFC goes to show this is the case, outright. It was excellent in every way, the jokes were dead on, the ending was spectacular, and best of all, it was paced well.

To TFS, I know by this point you don't care what I have to say, but the best way to describe this episode was "boring." Which in a way made one point better. Goku. I didn't hate the scene with him, I was just overall bored with it. That being said, I did enjoy two little parts. First, Zarbon's reveal. Overall, I was more impressed with the scene between him and Frieza more than with him and Vegeta (ironically, I feel like he's the weakest character in this episode, and he's usually my man.) The second was Guru and Dende. I felt that was short, sweet and to the point, it was perfect.

God Guru cracks me up every time.

"That's how old I aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam."

But yeah.. Vegeta really had the spotlight here and had me rollin'. I still can't get over how alike the VA sounds compared to the officially hired ones, rofl. If anything, I'd say I like this one better. I really can't wait to see how the Ginyu Force is portrayed.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
