I'm starting to think the problem here might be that everyone else is watching the episode through a magnifying glass.

I'm really not seeing the issue. It's a teeny, tiny little graphic way up in the right hand corner.

Well, WGS and some of the Box of Danger guys didn't like many aspects of the episode, not just the meter. I think the only reason why it has been discussed so much is because even among some people who did like the episode overall, such as myself, that joke still failed. I mean, I agree with Unwardil -- I didn't even laugh in the beginning. It just felt too easy and immature. Not that I have anything against boob jokes. It was just... I don't know. Sorry I can't articulate my thoughts better.

But with that said, I had no trouble ignoring the thing. Although it may have been better fading in and out, as LK just thought of retrospectively, I personally don't think that would have made a big difference.

And yeah, I actually do agree that this episode strangely incited far too much debate.
I blame 1kids.

Meh. One of the better LK shirts I suppose. But to be honest, as far as Abridged merchandise goes, I like the Avatar Abridged shirts the best. I only wish the Sexyfine shirt was a bit more manly.

Beyond that, I actually feel this is one of the stronger episodes we've had for quite a while. The penguin stuff was funny, as were Yugi and Yami's antics...did they honestly have to duel the doors to exit? And thank goodness the freakish design of that butler wasn't ignored.

It wasn't like a regular duel, but Yugi and Atem did have to summon out different monsters against the doors to destroy them in order to pass through in the original series. So, they basically did duel doors to get out of the maze. Most every problem, if not all of them, in a Yu-Gi-Oh! series ultimately comes down to playing a duel.

Anyway, I thought that it was a really funny episode. I didn't think that jiggle-o-meter was that funny, but I understand why it was there and it was really easy to ignore. Anyway, the best parts were Yugi and Atem's lines, "Wait, we have writers," "...and won," and "SHE'S NEVER PLAYED THE CARD GAME BEFORE." The penguin jokes were spot on, especially since he was fairly creepy in the dub, the TFS joke, Tristan "Timothy" Taylor killing off a dinosaur, the poke at GX during Kaiba's flashback, Kaiba wanting to steal his own fake Blue Eyes White Dragon and the ending with Tea actually losing her body. That was an nice odd twist that I totally didn't see coming at all. I didn't think that he would change who would win and lose like that. I wonder if it will last through the rest of the arc or just be temporary. Anyway, it was a fun episode and I really needed some good laughs. Great work, LK.

Honestly I think if it had faded in and out that would have been MORE distracting. "Oh, look, it's back. Oops, now it's gone. Now it's back again." MAYBE if it had been slightly transparent throughout, but at that point you're just splitting hairs. I think it was fine the way it was.

But, either way, Wuggles, just lower your expectations for future episodes.

I find it oddly appropriate that the people complaining about jokes that are dragged out too long are the ones who are dragging out the whole "TeamFourStar sucks!" bullcrap way past the point of being funny.

Ahh, that made my evening. The subtle nuances and underlying metaphors directly reflect the conflicts and trials we face in our daily lives. It's like... it's like HE KNOWS.

I think people like it because the jokes don't run on for too long.

I also think it's because the Hokage and Iruka make for a funny duo, so having a whole video dedicated to their interactions makes for some funny stuff, espiecally Hokage asking Iruka shouldn't he be teaching his Ninja students and Iruka liking the Mantis show. This makes me want a new Naruto Abridged Comedy show more then ever though this and YGTOAS (which was also great, espeically then Penguin bits, "Friendship sucks" Team Four Star, the opponent the door, Kailba wanting a crayon blue eyes and the ending twist with Krump in Tea's body. I always imagined a variation of this arc where some of the Big 5 actually won and stole the kids bodies besides just with Tristian later on) is enough to satisfy our appitete... for now.

That was very funny. This debate seemed to get a little out of hand but the video nicely parodied it. Let's face it, we aren't ever going to all like the same jokes or episodes so let's try and avoid massive things like this in the future.

Meh, the first one wasn't very funny to begin with. Plus idiot fans didn't take it the right way (then again, there will always be idiot fans who don't get it, and we should just ignore them).

That said, I'm always up for cross-work with other abridgers. I love that sort of thing. Makes us feel like a real community. Still, I vote no to the war. Too negative. Had enough of that for a while. I prefer sometime more positive.

It was great seeing more creators actually acknowledge each other on the public forum and joking around and smack-talking each other; however, if you want something positive, I think that WGS and I have just the idea~ ... but only when the shadows of hate loom over our plane shall the light of friendship shine brightest.

There was no blast about having stupid fans kill each other and act like the abridged makers hated each other when they didn't leading into a whole sea of confusion.
