Yeah, I remember glancing through this manga chapter when they first came out...It's just as chilling and epic animated as it was illustrated.

Oh great, the most pivotal episode of FMA and AS screwed it up for those who watch the HD feed. Another classic Cartoon Network Anime blunder.

Well, it must have been more of DirecTV's fault as I was watching it on the HD feed on my IO service and didn't have any problems.
Penultimate was the wrong word I meant to type pivotal. I'll just change it real quick.
If I'm going to watch a repeat, I'll just stick with CN West, thank you very much.

Okay, CN West didn't glitch up, so I can actually hear what was going on.
Powerful stuff, seeing almost every supporting character getting the bridged dropped on them. It's more shocking seeing Winry dying, that's how serious this has gotten.
Four more weeks, it's gonna be one heck of a ride.

My feed was fine. I watched the SD feed so no problems here.
I gotta admit it was kinda scary trying to go to sleep with the hurricane raging outside. It was very very windy and rainy. But I'm lucky to admit that no trees or power lines came down on my street. The worst of it is over now, but the winds won't stop until later today.
And this episode was epic. I was looking forward to seeing this episode on TV dubbed since it aired in Japan last year.

I thought that this was a really good episode. I liked seeing Bosch's reaction to see Ross again, although we didn't see much of them after that. I thought that it made a lot of sense for Pride to be weakened after forcing Mustang to open the gate. If it wasn't a problem, then they could have gotten any alchemist to open the gate instead of waiting for others to open it for their own reasons. While I don't dislike Mei, I thought that she was pretty foolish trying to get Father's stone. I understand that she still want to help her people, which is all well and good, but considering what it takes to create a Philosopher Stone and Father's power, one would think that she wouldn't be trying to get a stone, especially right now.
I thought that Scar vs. Wrath was getting pretty good. It was especially cool to see Scar use alchemy to fight back Wrath. Ed was doing a pretty good job against Pride and I was really hoping that at least one of those fights would end in this episode. I almost forgot about Ling/Greed until he popped up. I thought that he was going to really damage Father, but that obviously didn't work out. Seeing all of the people look like they died during that ceremony was really creepy. Ending the episode with Father opening the gate was so intense. It was a really good episode with some intense moments and I hope that the next episode will be fun to watch too.

I have to say, after seeing the good guys hold their own, tonite's episode was an epic win for Father. I mean, he got his way....there was no last minute rescue (although Greed/Ling tried), no one extra to step in and stop his plans. I mean, even when everyone was fighting back, he just snapped everyone up and put them in their place, so to speak. I couldn't understand everything he said as the doors were opening up, but I got the jist of it. So with 4 episodes left, I can only imagine more of the End of Eva vibe that we all got watching this (could have been more obvious, with everyone here catching the same vibe?).
