Well, you probably know about this. This is Adult Swim's exclusive on demand feature, at least for now, and I figure we should do a talkback thread.

Of course, since it is on demand, and some of us don't have the service, or have the service but don't have the show, and also since I don't know when they'll update it on the VOD thing, it's a full series talkback. We'll sticky this for the first week, and then unsticky it. Then after it we'll keep it open. Just bump it up whenever a new episode comes out.

Also, please only discuss the actual SERIES in this thread. Keep general discussion of Adult Swim On Demand in other relevant threads.

So... enjoy!

I read the 1st manga and I didn't know what the Hell was going on. After the whole "I wanna be an astronaut when I grow up. "Punished!" stuff, I fell asleep and found the story and overall characters to be boring and very tedious to put into logic.

Entertaining series. Decent first third, great second third, average last third.

Think x-men. There was somekind of catastrophe or something that happened 20 or so years ago in the past separating a part of Japan. And something aboutit caused some of the people to have genetic mutations, they are called Alterusers. And they come into conflict with a mainland group called HOLY, who are mostly alterusers themselves. Anyway there's a whole lots of fights of reasonable length(no DBitis), political and social issues, and Kazuma shooting his mouth off. Its a surpisingly good series.

I heard that the manga and the tv series are very different.

It's an okay series. Stuff gets pretty redundant towards the end though.

Some posts have been deleted in this thread. Please keep general sCRYed discussion confined to either the VOD thread or feel free to create a new thread. This is a talkback for the series, so let's keep the discussion topical.

Sounds like Kenshin TV.

I've only seen the first episode, but I liked what I saw.

Though the dub does suffer from CAGVS (Cutesy Anime Girl Voice Syndrome).

Good, action-packed show, I guess it's sort like X-men but I did not get that impresssion when I saw it, also has some nice animation.

The first few episodes didn't grab me much, but as I kept watching the series really pulled me in. Lots of good fights and tear-jerker shock moments.

I watched the first episode on On Demand the other day, I found it to be pretty good. Nothing really special but a hell of a lot more entertaining than WHR or WR imo.

.....

Ugh, so I didn't notice that there was a thread already. So sue me.

Hey, they're also showing the full opening to Witch Hunter Robin on Demand. This is pretty cool.

How EXACTLY do you get this show?

Are they showing it in the right spot?

prologue > opening > show

Yep. I'd go as far as to guess that On Demand it's uncut......but somebody with the actual DVDs can guess for me.

But anyway, the first episode of the show on the topic line was alright. I'll have to see where it goes from here.

That's awesome but at the same time "aww man!" I don't have demand but I already seen the series in sub. It's worth every second of your time, so people don't miss out!

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
