I didn’t have an animated Survivor movie on my bingo card.

"Here’s a weird bit of news that I’m sure makes sense in a boardroom but really nowhere else: Paramount Animation is now developing an animated feature film version of Survivor. Yes, that reality show where teams of people are sent to a remote location and compete in challenges and are voted off until one is left. It’ll be an animated movie this time, with animals as the competitors.

Jeff Probst, the longtime host of the series, will serve as executive producer. “Setting it in the world of animals gives us a whole new playground,” Probst claims. “It’s still everything we love about Survivor – big personalities, funny characters, surprising alliances, competition, chaos, and of course a lot of heart – but this time, the players aren’t humans. Imagine a big, fun, animated comedy about Survivor, in the animal kingdom.”

Like most things that blow up overnight, though, Survivor eventually faded into the background and is now one of those shows that feels like it’s always been on, and you might as well watch if there’s nothing better."

Is that Joan Cusack voicing Jessie in that Toy Story Papa John's commercial? If so, it sounds rough. Woundn't surprise me if it wasn't, though.
