HOG did amazing last year, surprisingly.

I don't know what they did differently from the first year (maybe people prefer Shaquille O'Neal), but I really hope this year performs badly.

Planet 51 premiered right before it scored above 3M, while HOG only just managed to crack 2M. This doesn't look too great in my eyes, but CN completely ignored this fact in their press releases.

I wonder if it's possible for people to tire of Hall Of Game even further? I guess we'll have to wait and see just what kind of numbers it pulls, and if HOG scored higher than last year's 2 Mil.

Ouch for Green Lantern. But Young Justice isn't doing so bad.

I was hoping Young Justice would hit 2 million again, but that's not terrible either.

lol the same rating from last year :P

The best part of HoG is reading the following press release by CN. I'm kidding, but I recall getting annoyed at the super-positive press releases back when I cared more about CN showing Live-Action shows. Looking at these declining numbers... L-A shows on Cartoon Network really aren't much of a threat as they once were. It feels like people have become predisposed to a belief that CN's L-A shows are bad... (even when Incredible Crew is a half-way decent sketch comedy).

A 1.700 mil, I wonder how much of that was in boys, it'll be so much easier to spin this news positively if HoG did good in boys.... Hm. If a comparison of the advertisements during the HoG awards would be kind of nice. It'd be telling how competitive the ad space was, considering HoG's declining ratings. HoG just... under-performs in any demographic (except for boys I think, they're the demographic that gets mentioned the most in HoG press releases).

dprboy, I'm just glad CN's cartoons aren't going anywhere. It's clear that Live-Action isn't a successful venture, and counting all previous L-A failures, probably never will be a success for Cartoon Network. At least not the kind of success that would've warranted the infamous "name change" for Cartoon Network.

Also, Snyder *did* give us "PG" cartoons, and that in-turn gave up Young Justice, Regular Show, Adventure Time, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and others. I can actually enjoy watching cartoons on Cartoon Network again... just like the good old days in the 90s and early 2000s. The main problem CN is facing is it's stringent marketing towards young boys. A fair number of CN commercials for the past few years are inaccessible [annoying] to a good number of individuals. Not to mention cancelled shows that could've survived had they been able to survive on adult and kid demos, instead of just boys demos. It does pain me to see good cartoons killed because they didn't interest young boys enough.

1.7 after all that promotion? Laughable. But keep in mind it could have done well with kids. To put it in perspective the total viewership is similar to Green Lantern that week but GL:TAS got 0.6 with 18-49 while HOG got 0.3 with 18-49. That makes a world of difference to CN, they don't care if adults don't watch HOG they'd prefer if adults didn't watch any of their shows in a manner that outnumbers kids.

The episode of IC that followed on the other hand did terrible with a sizable drop for kids and adults from HOG's numbers.

It's hilarious how a bunch of unpromoted reruns of old cartoons (Cartoon Planet) do better than new episodes of Level Up and Incredible Crew, with the latter being highly promoted.

Even after all of my time not posting here, people still complain about the Hall of game awards and the tiny amount of live-action Cartoon Network airs? Some things never change.

Glad to see that Cartoon Network is still in the same place as it's been since forever. Then again, I can't remember Disney XD's ratings at the moment. haha

I think it's rather funny with the seemingly failing Incredible Crew.

Honestly I don't hate that show but it surely is losing what little viewership it had. Oh well. It still wont be enough for them to stop making live-action shows.

I noticed they went to double premieres for Level Up. It didn't get renewed so I guess the end is nigh.

Does Level Up have any new episodes left or did they finish February 5th?

Why dont they just have the DC Nation air in primetime rather than Saturday Mornings

Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
