No, I'm referring to 'Japanese animation'. Animation is animation is animation, after all. I don't see why I need to refer to 'Japanese animation' as a short-hand English word when I can merely call 'em what they are.

If this is starting in Spring 2015 then this is probably the show that will replace Dragon Ball Kai in the Sunday morning Fuji TV slot. Every Digimon series besides Xros Wars has occupied that slot, so.

Let's face it, the only way we are going to see Digimon here in the states is probably Saban.

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I can't agree with that at all. ^_^; And I'm well aware of everything you said regarding production costs and broadcast standards. I mean, yeah, Saban probably will get it (unfortunately), but it doesn't have to be this way. It's a popular brand and another company could make it work just as easily with better results. It's not like I'm asking for the show to be broadcast unedited anyway. There is a middle ground. A show can be made to fit broadcast standards without butchering it.

Of course, I'm getting WAY ahead of the game here since we don't even know what this series will be. And I'm getting us off-topic anyway. We won't have to worry about a dub for a long time. For now, I'm prepared to just blissfully sit back and enjoy this 15th anniversary celebration until the Japanese cast/crew announcements start coming in.

I go to that site every day to rub the egg. I'm not surprised that fans are that eager since it is pretty nostalgic and people are quite curious for details. Hopefully, we'll get something interesting once the egg hatches.

YAAAAAAAAY, really epic news, I'm such a huge Digimon fan as much as I love/enjoyed the Digimon Adventure series, I'll definetly enjoy the epic High School sequel series.Both Tai/Agumon, Kari/Gatomon, Matt/Gabumon, T.K./Patamon, Sora/Biyomon, Joe/Gomamon, Izzy/Tentomon, and Mimi/Palmon were awesome likable characters/heroes.Both Kari, Salamon/Gatomon/Angewomon, Sora, Mimi, Palmon/Togemon/Lilymon, along with Yolie, Rika, Renamon/Taomon/Sakuyamon, Zoey/Kazemon, Yoshino/Yoshi, Akari/Angie, and Nene were my favorite awesome likable female characters/heroines, but seeing a high school version of Tai and the Digidestined kids in their high school years is gonna be sweet/interesting.I'll enjoy the awesome evil Digimon villains they'll bring out as well, hehehe.Agreeing with Light Lucario, I hope the Digimon partners have epic new evolution forms and explore the Dark Ocean plot as well.Next to Tai, both Takato, Takuya, Marcus, Taiki/Mikey, and Tagiru were pretty awesome likable heroes as well for their courageous moments while Daisuke/Davis was a worst unlikable jerkhole hero that I disliked, but seeing him get takened down a peg in Digimon Adventure 2 was so satisfying.

There's a game being made by Bandai Namco called Kamen Rider Summonride that is similar to Skylanders. The technology used for that game could be used for a Digimon video game in the future. I am surprised this is a Wii U and Playstation 3 game, on consoles. Isn't console gaming largely a thing of the past in Japan, since there has been a huge shift to mobile games over there IIRC? I think Bandai Namco is really late to do something like this, behind Activision, Disney, and Nintendo, and that last company stands out because of Pokemon.

I think Skylanders is a big reason why the relaunch of Digimon by Saban Brands isn't going as well as their efforts for Power Rangers have been. Digimon Fusion toys don't appear to be selling well, and the toy figures from Skylanders might be part of the reason why. The idea of "digital monsters" seems to lend itself well to the Skylanders concept, and something Bandai Namco might have to considering doing for the U.S. and Europe markets if they want Digimon to gain some brand momentum again along with a new show with the Adventure characters.

Also, I just thought this could be relevant to this anime (as Huckmon was introduced for Digimon's 15th Anniversary, as one can tell by his inclusion in the Digimon Adventure game for PSP, his attack names making reference to the number 15, and even being included in official art advertising the 15th Anniversary where he is the 9th Digimon on the poster, with the other 8 being the 8 main Digimon from Adventure.):

Huckmon's Ultimate/Mega form, Jieusumon?, joins his mentor, Gankoomon, as a Royal Knight, the 12th and final one in fact. Will we see Huckmon in the new anime? BTW, Huckmon digivolves to BaoHuckmon, but does not have a Perfect/Ultimate form, in case anyone was wondering.

Examon? He's basically the final form of Dracomon, who I believe was introduced for Digimon's 10th Anniversary... So like 5 years ago. The two newer ones, Gankuumon and this new one were introduced very recently in comparison to Examon.

Anyways... Damn. My feelings are hurt. Like actually, I feel slightly defeated. So Sukamon and Chuumon are back.
