Marge signs up for a counseling program that teaches parents how to raise young children to become independent, but the program works too well on Maggie. Meanwhile Homer starts working in the towing business, but gets into some trouble when the town sets up Homer to look like he is towing on a rival's turf.

Hmmm.......Discuss.

Another new job, sigh. I would give anything to see a new episode centered around the Power Plant.

I wonder if homer's trying to break a record at getting new jobs. :D

He might as well just be a temp.

hey i do these ever week 10:15am is way to early
Feeling that Maggie is getting too clingy, Marge hires a counselor to teach her the "C.R.I.E. Method," a counseling program that helps parents raise their children to be very independent at an early age. But the method works a little too well, leaving Maggie with no need for Marge at all. Meanwhile, Homer goes in search of milk for Maggie in Mookington and ends up having his car towed by a tow truck driver named Louie (guest star Matt Dillon) who introduces Homer to the joy of towing cars for a living. Louie invites Homer to be the tow truck driver for Springfield on one condition: that Homer stay off of Louie's turf in Mookington. When Homer gets a little too "tow happy," the residents of Springfield set Homer up to look like he's towing in Louie's territory, and Homer must suffer the wrath. With Homer missing, the newly independent Maggie is spurred to action.

Silly me thinking just because the movie was good, they'd up the quality of the show as well for this new season :p :p :p

I want to live in Guidopolis. :crying:

This one is pretty funny so far. Bart finding the website in one click, and Homer and the silouhettes.

"Mr T. IS the Lion King."

XD

End of Act 2.

A notable improvement. Homer switching jobs yet again was a groaner, but at least the plot was coherent this time around. And the supporting characters were very well-written, actually doing something instead of just spouting catchphrases. Still nothing to write home about, but it was definitely what I'd call watchable, with the exception of the very predictable "crying over spilled milk" gag. Maggie's actions stretched believability, but eh, it was pretty well done.

The "Mr. T Is The Lion King" gag was very similar to things they've done before (where Homer sees a sign but it turns out to be something other than what he expected), but the sheer absurdity of it made it still funny. I also liked the way Homer described Shrek III (an ogre lives in medieval times but sometimes he says things from today times), and Bart & Milhouse looking for swears in the Bible.

awesome episode. wayyy better than i expected. 5/5. best joke was bart and milhouse taking swears out of the bible.

Definitely better than last week's, though for some reason the Maggie and Marge plot didn't do much for me. And they should really take it easy on the "Homer gets a job" type of plot for a while.

Stuff I liked:
-The swear words in the Bible that Bart & Milhouse can say. "I don't think Leviticus is a swear word."
-Mr. T is Lion King
-Shrek III description
-The long string of sarcasm by the kidnapped towers

Pretty good again. I'm liking this season, so far.

Good episode, this season has really picked up from last season so far:D

The 'maggie breaking away from Marge' plot could have been it's own fleshed out episode. Complete with actual jokes and a linear plot-line...

Good episode but I didn't like the sub-plot.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
