Inu-Yasha Editing Report - Nothing. Seriouly. No, really.

I'd tell you if there were no edits tonight or not, but I didn't watch the fansub beforehand, so you're pretty much left in the dark tonight. Actually, what I'm going to do from now on is do this report at the end of the week, just so the board isn't cluttered with my posts.

So, what will I say in this post? Let's see:

- While I didn't watch the episode beforehand, judging by the gruesome stuff left in I can say that it was almost surely uncut. But don't take my word for it.

- I guess Miroku will go for any woman, no matter what the obstacle.

- It was a filler episode today.

- Did you notice the sacrifice's face looked almost exactly like his mask? It was a joke in the manga that obviously didn't make it to the anime:

"You can take your mask off now."
"It is off."

- All Shippo is good for at the moment is stating what is blatantly obvious.

- Kilala's (or is it Kirara) fire can be lit even underwater.

- Hey! There were no annoying flashbacks in today's episode!

Well, that's about all I can think about without making this a review thread. Until Thursday, have a good one.

How was this filler? It seemed like there was a good amount of character development to me. The episode basically worked to more fully integrate Sango into the group.​

I'm just glad they didn't take out or tone down Miroku's perverseness in this ep.
I would say that the violence in this ep is just so so, the ep with the massacre of the slayer's village was more violent actually.

How about filler because it did nothing to advance their mission to find more shards, or locate and destroy Naraku?

This may shock and amaze you but their are times where the gang find a shikon shard in the anime when they don't in the manga.

Inu-yasha is about the characters not Shikon Shards. This is not filler because of the fact that it enhances the characters of Sango, and Miroku.

As Maune said this episode's primary reason was to cement Sango as a member of the team and not just some person that wants to defeat Naraku. Like the Hell's painter story cemented Miroku as a member of the team the water god story cemented Sango as a member of the team.

This was also the first time you actually felt genuine concern for a woman by Miroku. Miroku cares deeply for Sango and this shows it.

And that is what I like about this show in the first place but we only got another 8 or 9 more episodes before it ends for the season, and I hope this gets even more interesting and all.

But Monday night's episode didn't seem like a filler to me either. Although no one picked up any Shikon Jewel shards, there was a lot of action and character development. Sango especially.

I believe it's actually "Kilala." They typically pronounce "l" as "r" in japanese, which is why some might think it's "Kirara."

The same goes for why "Alucard" was translated at "Arucard" for the Hellsing DvD's.

Actually, it could be either.
Think of it as, in Japanese, the R/L difference does not exist.
The Japanese sound of it is like an amalgamation of those 2 letters.

Point taken. I think I'll stick with "Kilala," though,since that's how they pronounce it in the dub and I honestly can't say "Kirara" without sounding like an idiot doing some weird cheer.

It is originally pronounced Kirara. The only form of Inu Yasha that doesn't pronounce/spell it that way is the English dub.
