"Marvel's Avengers Assemble" News & Discussion Thread, Part 5 (Spoilers)

A direct sequel to Avengers EMH would have been interesting to see, would be great if some more information about it will become available in time since I doubt it would ever actually happen by now.

The final two titles of season two sound good. The Avengers versus the Black Order could be pretty entertaining. A team-up with the Guardians of the Galaxy seems likely, especially considering their upcoming animated series, so I wouldn't be too surprised if they managed to find a way to squeeze them into the story as well.

The next two episodes are impossible to judge until we get summaries, but I was expecting a "two-part" episode title, ha ha.

September 2015 Marvel's Avengers Assemble episode premiere details are as follows:

Episode #2-25 "New Frontiers"
September 13th, 2015 at 8:30am (ET)

Episode #2-26 "Avengers Worlds"
September 20th, 2015 at 8:30am (ET)

Avengers Worlds? Ummm....what does that even imply?

Again, I'm not sure what you're even talking about. It's already confirmed Ant-Man is in the next season literally the only reason the subject of death was brought up was because someone suggested he might die. There's nothing to indicate the show or writers are planning on killing an Avenger.

Yeah. Sorry about that.

Don't worry. Clearly some phone lines got crossed, is all.

Episode #2-26 "Avengers Worlds"

Avenger World was the name of a book focused on the Avengers expanding their line-up to face more threats around the globe.

Perhaps the situation with Thanos is what sets the stage for all the new characters next week!

Now, I looked up the Black Order on the Marvel wiki. There's TWO female members. Awesome. The Black Order is also supposed to show up in the Guardians of the Galaxy animated series. That's great! The more female characters the better.

Just...please don't do what Batman: The Brave and the Bold did with "The Reach" and make them all generic, nameless (and mostly male) aliens, but mind-controlled by Thanos. That's a scary thought that just struck me.

Adding to this, the concept of an "Avengers World," that is, entire worlds and planets protected by and in support of The Avengers, was also present during the Infinity event that featured Thanos and the Black Order :).

Reading the comments have me getting my hopes too high! I need to settle them in, lol.

It all sounds epic in scale, but is Assemble up to the task?

Was this in response to me saying that the Black Order could possibly be generic (mostly male) aliens, worst case scenario?

If it's on a good day, maybe :p.

Though joking aside, The Infinity Gauntlet conclusion was fairly epic, in my opinion, so hopefully they can bring that same level to Thanos' return .

Will the Nova Corps appear because they're alive in AA but dead in US.

You know all these continuity flups are why I believe most of the 90's Marvel cartoons are connected.

I wonder if anyone would have even wanted an AEMH sequel with Man of Action in charge.

If a third season would not have been by the people who made the first two seasons (especially Chris Yost and Joshua Fine), then I’m glad they went with a new show, in my opinion. To this day, A:EMH remains my favorite Marvel animated show ever.

Oh, no. Just replying in general to the theories that the plot would involve a battle between the Avengers and Thanos' forces that would be so intense that they would have to expand their group just to keep the universe safe.

Cool idea, but needs good execution, you know?

It could make sense if the Black Order and Thanos just genocide Xander like its nobody's business.

Though, I doubt AA will show death on a mass scale, that would mean that people would die and as the English dub of DBZ on Funimation showed, no one ever dies, they just all conveniently go to Church.

@Gold Guy Does this mean that my dream of Super Skrull becoming an Avenger will be a reality? Lol.

Oh wow, you just made me realize that the Guardians' stealth reboot has now basically removed the important parts of Sam's origin .

Not that I really care about Sam, and it'll probably never be addressed, but is still pretty jarring to realize o_O.

When did the Nova Corp come back on Avengers Assemble?

I'd have to go back and re-watch, but that I don't remember in particular if it was an offhand remark.

I know what you mean. :p

Now if only the Soul Gem is somehow involved....

When did the Nova Corp come back on Avengers Assemble?

The Nova Corp weren't mentioned.

It's official: I have now preordered GTA VI for PlayStation 5; the more expensive and feature-complete Ultimate Edition of the game, that is. I also intend to buy a PS5 Slim optical drive next month(?) in the hopes of maybe indirectly convincing SIE to reverse its controversial plans to go all-digital on all post–Jan 2028 PS console games, even though GTA VI is a digital-only game.
Happy anniversary to "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout".
