I really enjoyed this episode. There was a lot of action, the Avengers fighting a classic arch-enemy, and just a really great battle overall. There wasn't any lame attempts at juvenile humor, and the action was fairly consistent throughout. I think this might have been my favorite episode of the series so far. I mean, nothing will probably supplant Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes as my favorite animated series of all time, but if all 39 episodes of Avengers Assemble were of the quality of this episode, it would be a challenge.

Looking at the messages, I guess some people didn't enjoy it as much as I did; oh well. Just wanted to throw my two cents in.

Admittedly, the writers were kinda stretching it, having Thanos fall for the heroes goading to use one stone at a time. But honestly, the writers almost had to do that/ There was no way the heroes would have won otherwise, unless they pulled a deus ex machina, and that would have been far worse.

Well that's kind of how he is in the comics. Hubris is his weakness.

Getting to see Thanos' floating space palace in an animated show was pretty awesome. Hope they will make something similar in live action for Infinity War.

I liked the ending. You simply can't win a group fight against Thanos on brute strength alone. Not even the combined might of most of the heavy hitters of the Marvel Universe were able to do that in the Infinity Gauntlet. You really have to outsmart Thanos and use deception and subterfuge. The fight with the Avengers being a decoy to buy Stark time to re-activate a new Arsenal made sense considering Arsenal had convenient plot device powers to absorb infinite energy like the Infinity Stones. Creating some sort of counter-device to Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet is more feasible than just brunt attacks.

Of course that all turns around when as some of us expected and predicted, Arsenal became Ultron. However based on the dialogue, they seem to be going with the premise that Ultron was a pre-existing character. The impression seems to be that he hacked into Arsenal and took over his software. Stark seemed to have recognition of Ultron, and Falcon knew of him as well. So Ultron is clearly not a new character in the Marvel Animated Universe and he's been a problem before. So it looks like the back half of season 2 will be Avengers vs. Ultron now that Thanos is taken care of for now. Just in time for the Age of Ultron movie.

Once again, good job breaking it heroes.

Let's keep in mind that Stephen Wacker had said on tumblr that we would see the origin of Ultron. I assume we will have a flashback sometime in the second half of season two. ;)

And we're back to this show sucking. Last weeks episode was damn near perfect. This week's episode was complete crap. You know an episode is going to suck when all of the Avengers show up piloting their own individual mechs that have the same color scheme of their individual pilots. I mean damn, talk about blatant toy advertisement.

Pretty good episode, though not as exciting as the previous one it still works well enough as a conclusion to the Thanos story arc. I didn't think the action scenes were as impressive here as in other episodes but there were some brief neat scenes which managed to show how powerful Thanos truly was - until the end where he's beaten. The Ultron reveal at the end was pretty much rushed through and didn't make a lot of sense but hopefully the remainder of the season will remedy some of those complaints.

That was pretty cool. It was nice how Hulk pounded on Thanos, who just ignored him. Of course they had to make him use one stone at a time, it makes the fight interesting. Loved Thor getting more powerful as he aged, and Widow and Hawkeye counting the seconds and calculating Thanos using the Space Gem. The only thing I don't like is how the Reality Gem seemed to transport everyone into a dream...it should be actually altering reality itself.

That ending was kinda awkward -

"Oh no, Ultron has the Infinity Gauntlet"
Tony: Eh, we'll worry about it later.

Yeah, it's like he knew the episode was already over. Arsenal becoming Ultron and taking all that power with him was a great "Oh crap!" moment but kind of ruined by the fact that no one had the same sense of urgency they did with Thanos.

As someone said earlier it felt blantantly like a movie cashin and poorly timed one at that.

Like most of this show, really.

To those who thought that the Avengers didn't care about chasing down Ultron, they obviously had to take care of Thanos first while he was still knocked out. In addition that, the episode ended right after he was arrested. Who's to say they didn't immediately go out and strategize a plan to try to find Ultron afterwords?

It's a pretty dumbfounding thing. They've had to deal with non-stop craziness since Widow's Run and now all of a sudden when it's over, and they're going to catch a breather, Ultron pulls a whammy on them.

The episode just doesn't convey the gravity of the situation well. Widow's Run ended with a tense cliffhanger, y'know? It felt like the stakes couldn't be higher. Here, we just have Cap and Tony confident that they can stop Ultron even though he just completely outmaneuvered them before he gained phenomenal cosmic powers.

Eh, that makes sense. I know they probably wanted to end it on a high-note.

Yeah, even though this episode was terrible, I loved how Thanos turned the Avengers into old people and then dust instead of back into babies or aging them out of existence.

If the Soul Stone played a part in the episode and mainly the Infinity Gauntlet arc, he'd tamper with the Avengers's souls so they couldn't fight him.

It's official: I have now preordered GTA VI for PlayStation 5; the more expensive and feature-complete Ultimate Edition of the game, that is. I also intend to buy a PS5 Slim optical drive next month(?) in the hopes of maybe indirectly convincing SIE to reverse its controversial plans to go all-digital on all post–Jan 2028 PS console games, even though GTA VI is a digital-only game.
