I really don't care much for Starfox (at worst, his seduction powers are kinda squicky) but since I doubt those powers will come into play much, I can get behind this.

Shouldn't that be Queen Victoria now :D?

Though it'll be great to see her again and hear how Spartax has been doing, and I'm definitely curious as to where she'll pop up in her brother's journey again and if it won't be until the finale :)?

GOTG is my least favorite of the Marvel shows, its better than Hulk show though.

But I'd rather they did a Black Panther solo series but I get they want a show for the cosmic side.

Episode summary for the single episode scheduled to air next month, from Zap2It TV Listings:

S01, E20 Fox on the Run 6/26/2016
Gamora attempts to make amends for her past misdeeds only to find herself in a deadly trap set by Nebula, Ronan and the Grandmaster.

I was wondering when we'd get back to Ronan and Nebula, especially with Thanos out of the picture now, and Grandmaster being involved is an interesting surprise :).

It'll also be nice to see him actually show up given he was only referenced in the episode dealing with the feud between him and his brother .

Gamora trying to make amends for the bad things she did under Thanos sounds like a compelling plot, so hopefully the show uses it well ;).

Interesting. I understand your desire for a Black Panther series but I'm waiting to see him appear in Avengers: Ultron Revolution before making an opinion if I want to see more of that version.

But Guardians is easily my favorite Marvel Animation currently airing new episodes, so I'm curious why you don't like it as much. I know Star-Lord can be a bit goofy and I think the storytelling/writing could be improved a bit, but I hope season two can work that out and include more story elements from the 2008 comic series like the expanded roster and blue outfits. Similar to how the Guardians appeared in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes with a mature Star-Lord, the blue uniforms, and a team that was different from the movie.

For me...idk I just feel bored. I was hyped on this awesome and deep adventure and I don't feel like we're really getting that. Quill is fun, I actually enjoy him as a character but the show seems so awkward on what its actually doing.

It also has the weakest fight scenes of all three imo, especially after AA got into Season 3 where it seems the writers just watched John Wick on repeat because these fights are fire (ignoring the Detroit Steel episode).

I think Guardians, for my money, is probably the Marvel cartoon with the best writing at the moment. Which I realize might not be saying much considering Marvel Animation's track record in the past few years, but stands out all the same :).

I think they've been able to tell some consistently solid and enjoyable stories across the entire season, without insulting the audiences intelligence, while slowly but surely progressing the myth arc of the Cosmic Seed and doing a good job of exploring and expanding the comsic side of the MU :anime:.

I also think they've done a great job of making the Guardians' interaction with each other fun and vibrant, while adding a little more depth to each member over the course of the show .

Quill...I like him when he's actually acting serious and competent, but when they portray him as a goofy man-child, I just have to roll my eyes .

And I never thought I'd be saying this, but Guardians probably has the best female representation of all the cartoons. Just this season alone we've had a really good variety of female characters, each with their own personality, unique design, and who generally serve a strong role or contribute something to the episodes in which they appear :D.

Contrast that with the token female heroes in all the other cartoons, who are usually the only major female character in the entire series, and how similar they are in personality to each other. Even Gamora has some similarities with Black Widow, but it's less noticeable thanks to good writing ;).

I do think the action sequences generally aren't as memorable or dynamic as they could be, but while the action in the Spartax arc wasn't amazing, the writing helped elevate it a lot in my opinion.

Yes! That one was my question. I really want to see a couple of the Guardians comic book storylines adapted in the show. Specifically, Annihilation and the Black Vortex. I'm not surprised the X-Men would be removed. But seeing the Guardians with another team like the Avengers or even with a few solo heroes like Nova and Captain Marvel trying to get the Black Vortex away from Mr. Knife would be awesome!

The Guardians have changed quite a bit from 2008 to 2016 with the team roster, tone, and characterizations of certain members (ex. 2008 Star-Lord - serious, 2014 Star-Lord - goofy). I just want the show to pull from all those versions instead of just the current ones. So seeing some adaptations of these various comic stories would be cool alongside original stories like Asgard War.

I'd be down for seeing Carol show up, but Sam...not so much .

It would be interesting if they use another Marvel team to get the same crossover feel of the Black Vortex story, if they don't just use the Guardians and their supporting cast :).

Well, animated Gamora is a lot closer to her comic personality then she was in the movie, so there's that ;).

Annihilations would be tough to do without Annihilus, who's probably off-limits with the other FF villains, but it would be interesting to see them try their hand at the Cancerverse storyline or the Warlock arc from the DnA run (and integrate the classic Guardians), but that might clash with the style and tone of the Guardians we currently have o_O.

I used to agree with you about Sam (Nova) because I felt he was the least likeable hero in season one of Ultimate Spider-Man, but I think he's grown as a character since then. Season three of Ultimate Spider-Man has certainly showed him as a character who has matured, with a greater sense of responsibility and respect. At the same time, he's still pretty light-hearted and optimistic. That's the Sam I'd like to see on Guardians.

I'd be up for another super team. Maybe a cosmic one like the Annihilators or  the original Guardians! XD That would be crazy! But if not another team, a few other heroes like Captain Marvel and Nova from the comic would be cool too.

As for Annihilation, I'd love to see Annihilus just appear in the show for this storyline, since Marvel Animation can legally use him I believe. I just think they're choosing not to. War of Kings (featuring the Inhumans) and The Thanos Imperative (featuring the Cancerverse) would be exciting to watch as well. But I'm not expecting adaptations so I'm just happy we could be seeing a loose adaptation of the Black Vortex.

I'm interested in Adam Warlock, Magus, more Titus, Phyla-Vell, Mar-Vel, more Mantis, Mr. Knife, Bug, and whatever cosmic goodness Marvel can throw our way!

Again from Wacker's Tumblr, The Black Order and Titus might appear again on the show. Sounds pretty good to me.
I'd definitely be down for seeing both back to menace the Guardians since they've generally been fairly strong villains in their past appearances, and I'm curious to see what the show could do with the Black Order now that Thanos is MIA and Titus after the Guardians exposed him for who he really is :ack:.

I wonder if they'll ever show Titus decimating the Nova Corps. to setup Sam becoming Nova and how that might effect the Guardians o_O?

It sounds like we're getting another Inhuman episode, which should be cool. Hopefully the rest of the Royal Family get lines and characterization this time .

Hmm...maybe the title is referring to Peter coming back to Earth because the Cosmic Seed is there o_O?

Happy 20th anniversary to Gummibär/Gummy Bear!

Here's to hoping he releases an anniversary album in stores on November 13th (with lots of music, videos, and extras).
Just brought a Switch 2 this past weekend. I hope Nintendo doesn't follow Sony's suit of getting rid of physical games.
Find it hard to beleive how this upcoming set has more than one normally-considered "politically incorrect" cartoon in new restoration form..
