MeTV Toons - Network TALKBACK & Discussion Thread

So how is everyone liking the channel so far? What would you improve?
I've been enjoying it mostly, I probably should watch it more, but I do have other things and other channels that I do watch so... I do a lot of watching on recording. I've enjoyed the Flintstones and Scooby stuff they've been doing on Sundays. Saturday evening Duck Dodgers, 2 Stupid Dogs, Freakozoid is comfy line up to me. I've also been watching "Wait 'Til Your Father Gets Home" on Sunday nights. I've been watching Histeria! too. And "The Greatest Adventure: Stories from the Bible".

I can't think of anything I'd change in the line up, I'd feel kind of mean, because there's someone out there who is really really happy that they get to see Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons again or something. It's also only been about 4 months, it's fine if a line up beds in for a bit. I guess Totally Tooned In is on a little too much there on Sunday night.

I guess for improving things, I kind of wish they'd be more creative with the promos.

Im not watching it (obviously from CZ lol), BUT... I like it very much and would improve probably nothing, because it has most shows Id expect (and some I wouldnt) and will improve (aka rotate) over time. Only thing I could wish for is probably having the new prints released on Bluray and throw some action block into the mix. Id love to see 60-90s action shows in HD on such a channel for more people to watch them. Something akin to Boomeraction/Super Adventures.

^How did you get Xfinity to get MeTV Toons?
He clearly said that he is still waiting for Xfinity provider in his area to receive retransmission version of MeTV Toons like they did with MeTV.

It requires TV station to approve if Xfinity is all for get it and right now, one of them may approve or both don't bother to talk. The ETA depends on how fast is response with TV station or provider.

Also, there is a clear - that is NOT national version of MeTV Toons that is already carried on Frndly and Philo, so if one available on Xfinity, it is obviously retransmission version of local channel.

He didn’t. He said he’s still waiting for that to happen.
Yeah, it take weeks, months and worst scenario, years (or never) for cable providers finally receive retransmission version of digital subchannels.

Sadly, Must Carry under 1992 Cable Act don't apply to digital subchannels and if MeTV Toons is main channel on TV station, so it will be on cable quickly.

The October 20th airing of Scooby Doo Sunday Specials will be the movie Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf.

The 80s Scooby movies recently got HD remasters released on the Superstar 10 blu-ray. It is good to see them getting some play here. Boomerang Theater has also added those 80s HB films back to rotation in the last year.

Unless if I were to get an antenna or subscribe to Frndly TV or Philo, I'm hoping MeTV Toons shows up on Xfinity (my current provider) soon. I'm missing out so much great content.

Fantastic network, finally a cartoon channel ran by actual toon-heads. Last time I got that sort of vibe was Nicktoons Network in the late aughts. I think it was the only thing I’d watch back in July.

One thing I’d improve is adding more action shows to the weekends. But hey, if they’re prettying up each show piece by piece, I don’t mind waiting.

MeTV Toons has added a page on their website for "MeTV Toons Spooktacular Sundays."

The main MeTV is going to be doing "Sven Squad presents the House of Svengoolie Cartoon BOO-Nanza!" take over of MeTV's Saturday Morning Cartoons this Saturday morning.

I was scared Me TV was getting rid of Cartoons. Phew! Just a new host for a day!

MeTV will be rerunning House of Svengoolie Cartoon Boo-Nanza, which aired this morning, on Sunday, October 27.

Actually MeTV Toons has 73 and not 74 out of 75 episodes of The Jetsons.

Considering the channel started on a Tuesday and The Jetsons started its second cycle on a Friday.

Do you think MeTV Toons should bring over some older Canadian cartoons like The Raccoons?

I guess we'll have to wait till January about the schedule change for MeTV Toons.

Happy Digimon day!
And Colorado 150 day!
Happy 15th anniversary to Secret Mountain Fort Awesome!

It should've ran for as many seasons and episodes as its post-predecessor Uncle Grandpa did.
I wish Imgur wasn't allowed on this forum until the time is right for a return since it's been unavailable in the UK since last September, so I don't see why people use links from the site for here when it's no longer available in the UK and I'm really angry that their parent company made this stupid decision.
Happy 45th anniversary, MTV.
MeTV Toons is a great channel when it comes to classic cartoons, but we know it can be way better. The Duck4Real (me!) elaborates on this in his latest YouTube vlog. Watch it!
