Yeah.. yet another new south park episode out this wednesday at 9 central time ...... Truly, Truly it is the longest episode name for any south park episode.

The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers

(i barely got this to fit in the topic , this was so long..)

From what I've seen off of south park studios site and the promos, it's likely there will be a rib or two at harry potter in this one.

We finally find out where butter is .. and

(p.s. ) do not peek at the spoiler if you haven't seen it , and if you haven't seen it in a time zone it hasn't aired in yet.

....
he's well, but perhaps to be another source of pain in his wierd life: he's going to watch an adult (this word i use loosely ) movie with his dad. No idea whether this will bring out the prof. chaos personality in later episodes, but you never know knowing trey and matt.we Also, the main plot is: The kids return a video to the store while making the whole adventure a tribute to the lord of the rings saga, after gandalf and frodo 'infuse their spirits' into them (is that legal in colorado?!)

Still no idea where tweek is , or whether kenny's growing possession of cartman will be continued into this episode as part of this season's final batch of episodes.

Anyway, when it airs, go ahead and comment away in this thread, if you wish.

and now, my back hurts, and i must go on a mythic quest of my own: to obtain some Kettle popcorn, made in the microwave, to curb my hunger so my stomach don't hurt as well.

Peace,

wrenchien

Hah, 'twas funny.

~B+:

I love this episode espicelly Harry Potter jokes. But this is the best episode of Season 6,and they keeping The Kenny's soul in Cartman's body plot. Butter was funny as hell in this episode, Poor Jimmy been ran over by the 6th graders. I give this episode an A+++.

and best of all, we know tweek is still around.. but how did he get kicked off the team, so to speak? makes you wish they would air south park every week instead of in semiannual spurts.

also some new foes in the 6th graders we'll probably be seeing, and yes, kenny still remains in cartman to give insults now and then.

it's pretty bizarre how butters gets the adult video in his possession, and how he acts like the monster dude from lord in the rings in that he obsesses over his 'precious'.

is it wack that they aired commercials for the lord of the rings dvd 'fellowship of the ring' or something?

and how it ends:

the kids get a very near ex- rated lecture on the birds and the bees and don't know what to make of it , after tossing butters and video into the video slot... and butters is left with his 'precious' at the end as his parents wonder what happened. it's almost a shame tweek just has cameo in this episode, but good he's still out there. :)

btw, you might have missed it , but the rerun was the episode about the boy scouts where big al gets drummed out and refuses to rejoin, and jimmy is introduced.

Even better, did you see all of the kids? Not only did we get a little bit more Jimmy, but hey look, it's Token! And Ike, and some of the kindergartners! And even *gasp* PIP!
(I love Pip... he and Tweak are my two favorites. :) )

This was one of the funniest episodes in a long time. The jokes just kept coming; making fun of Harry Potter, the Jimmy/Gandalf homage "You shall not p...p...p...pass!!!" :D That lead sixth grader was a riot. Obviously if you know nothing about LOR then you'd be lost, but man this was great. I've got to tape the rerun on Saturday.

I just lost it when the kid at the Council meeting was wearing the Stormtrooper helmet talking about starships. It was Cartman's reaction to that really brought the big laughs. And Token asking the parents various questions about what he had seen. "5 midgets, spanking a man covered in Thousand Island dressing...is THAT love?"

the repeat should be aired momentarily, 1 or 2 central time. we can hope.

i hope my back gets better soon.

anyway, we'll discuss next week's episode next week, i guess.

I had pretty high expectations for this episode given the premise, Kenny's new prediciment, and after hearing Butters's role in this, and they were pretty much met. A bit disappointing that we didn't hear more of the now understandable Kenny, but the main point in this ep was to spoof LotR, so I'm sure we'll hear a lot more of him in the future[and luckly there's enough room in Cartman for him to fit] I almost lost it with Token's reaction to the tape and with Jimmy's failed attempt to spoof Gandalf[though it is fittng he got run over considering what episode ran after this one] and of course, Butters in general.[sometimes I think it's nearly impossible not to laugh at that clueless kid] And I see that they decided to let Cartman call the Potter kids f**s after all, since that what he said in promos for the episode originally, but they changed it to have him say dorks later on. But that does violate Mr Garrison's theory that you have to be a f*g to say that word unbleeped, so I have to wonder....
Also I think this wasn't the first time we saw the 6'th graders, weren't they the one who tormented the boys in the Korn Halloween episode? And did anyone notice the fitting hat Tweek was wearing at the meeting[or that Timmy and Jimmy were in the same meeting and didn't fight once?]
Well, it's just too bad they didn't air any clips of next week's show, let's hope it keeps the winning streak alive.

OMG! I really thought this episode was hilarious. Although I am both a Harry Potter and LOtR fan, I found all the jokes histerical. Butters acting like Golem was simply brilliant, the scene where Cartman, Stan, and Kyle are hiding under the roots from the 6th graders was great. I couldn't stop laughing, and I think I woke up half my family during the episode.

My only gripe is that it is kind of hard to tell the difference between Cartman and Kenny speaking, I'd like it if Kenny got his own distinct voice but oh well.

I wasn't expecting it to be that funny based on the previews, but I was very wrong. I just loved this episode. Everybody really summed up my thoughts on the episode. The whole episode was a riot. I couldn't find one bad moment in the episode.

I wouldn't have minded it either, but it's not that hard to tell the difference. Cartman has a different facial expression when Kenny takes over.

bleh.. they showed the critic the time i expected the rerun to air, maybe i was a hour late on the draw..

oh well, we can hope for saturday repeat, hm?
i guess so

and don't forget the saturday night repeat, momentarily in the central time zone, soon in the other ones....

This weeks new episode

I hoped that this weeks upcoming episode would make it three straight solid eps to start the last part of Season 6, and it certainly sounds like it will. Here's the summary for this week's ep.

Episode 614: "The Death Camp of Tolerance"
The boys are sent away to learn "cultural sensitivity" and Mr. Garrison is back as the boys' 4th Grade Teacher. Ever since Ms. Chokosondik's untimely demise at the end of the spring season, Stan, Kyle and Cartman have been without a teacher. Principal Victoria rescues Mr. Garrison from his stint with the "booger- eating, pants crapping kindergarteners" and promotes him to teach the 4th grade. Informed that fourth graders are a little too old for Mr. Hat, Garrison comes to class with a new, and even more inappropriate, assistant during an all-new episode of "South Park."

Well, I thought Mr Mackey was going to take over since he taught for two episodes after school resumed, but who cares since we get Mr Garrison back full time- but the picture that went along with it did indeed have him without Mr hat and with his new assistant "Mr Slave" [if I described it in more detail I'd be kicked out of here so I'll let the name speak for itself] Long live Garrison![though I'm pretty sure which troublemaking kid made sure the 4'th graders got sent away for hating other cultures]

As someone who's Portuguese, it just bugs me again that we lost. I wanted Portugal to win this time because this is Ronaldo's last, but no, we think Ronaldo has devolved significantly, and we lost against Spain.
