Interesting subtlety on Nick's official Facebook page.
They recently updated their cover image and it's a banner of the following Nicktoons (as part of a cartoon promo week online):
Spongebob Squarepants, The Fairly Oddparents, The Legend of Korra (biggest image and in the center btw), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Monsters vs Aliens, and Sanjay and Craig.
Hate to say it, but the Nick social media sites (FB, Twitter, official website) have been precursors of things to come.
I think I've finally come to terms that Penguins and Robot and Monster will not air on Nickelodeon anymore and KFP and TP's current and next season will be burned thru in bad time slots and not part of the rest of the Nicktoons batch.
I WILL say, that if that's the six Nicktoons Nick is gonna focus on, that's one helluva lineup from top to bottom with major diversity and quality all-around. Just wonder if the upcoming Raving Rabbids, Breadwinners and Blake and the Aliens will add or diminish the overall quality.
Still, it's sad four Nicktoons - all of which had ratings and popularity to boot - were lost in Nick's rebranding and reshuffling. Put it this way, Mattel's Barbie and Monster High have more airings on Nick this year than the four Nicktoons.
