Old International Fox Kids/Jetix Channels Memorial Thread

now I understand why Chupa Chups were not sponsors of Fox Kids in Russia and there was no announcer for the promo

According to Fox Kids Europe. The Walt Disney Company was not involved in the deal to buy out the American company Fox Kids Network

The "network" only applied to the airtime on Fox in the U.S. as this was networked out to Fox owned and operated stations and affiliates, in the case of some Fox affiliates that didn't want to take up Fox Kids, this was instead taken up by the local UPN affiliate. When Fox Kids ended (after Saban wanted out), Fox leased this time out to 4Kids as they didn't want to handle children's programming anymore, this networked time became the FoxBox and then later 4Kids TV.

In reality, Disney owned the most important assets and essence of Fox Kids, this included the programming library, international channels, and a majority shareholding in Fox Kids Europe.

Fox filed for the Trademark "Fox Kids Cable" multiple times over the years, each time filing the maximum amount of extensions to file a Statement of Use as possible. First time filed in 1994 and the last time in 2002, which was abandoned after reaching the maximum amount of extensions in 2007.

I posted about this in the thread What if Fox Kids continued after 2002?

I've collected the full a complete rooms control Fox Kids/Jetix/Disney

Why weren't all Jetix feeds 24/7 especially after 2006, doesn't make sense

Lot of shows here. Other than Power Rangers and Kid vs. Kat, there’s Dinosaur King and even Total Drama!
Indeed! I love how the later years of Jetix focused on Saturday mornings, despite the competition

In the case of the UK, definitely Teleshopping from 23:00 to 2:00
Then wisely dropped by Disney with Disney XD :D

In Italy it had been 24/7 since October 2001, there was an article about it: at the same time, 21:00-06:00 had just repeat the 6:00 schedule repeated but with no promos.
Only Next bumper + ident

This was the case for a long long time, very "Fox Kids" later "Switchover Media" (the same team splitting up from Jetix after its dissolution) from them.

Well, as it's the case for children's channels, there just is less of an interest in having them round the clock: tendentially so, nowadays, even in the UK, all of them bar the timeshared ones are 24/7

Teleshopping I believe was there to combat what was a dull overnight timeslot of Flint the Time Detective and older Power Rangers.

I believe Switchover Media had K2 show European shows throughout the night, Walter Melon to name a few.

Nowadays, since Warner Bros. Discovery owns the channel, they still play some European shows throughout the night, such as The Daltons.

Indeed, it and it's sister channel Frisbee air Xilam shows throughout the night.

I believe Frisbee was not 24/7 at first and had a more "Jetix Play" esque schedule

Indeed, apart from the fact that Frisbee now a preschool channel.

I liked Flint, now it's nowhere to be seen :D
But yes, an entire night of that can be boring
Teleshopping was also on the Nickelodeon channels back then

I don't remember when the overnight Italian schedule turneď into a proper different overnight schedule on FK/Jetix, but of course, K2 was quite different :)

@Two Two's yeah, Frisbee was quite a Fox Kids Playesque channel, indeed
Too bad WBD has changed the channels too much...

K2 had a thing for Fairly odd Parents, but I can't blame them (aside from the later seasons)
