Post something random

I wanted to try the "impossible" like Michael MJD did: installing another OS inside a VPC 2007 installation of XP. After installing VPC 2004, it gave an error that a VPC 2004 virtual machine cannot run inside a VPC 2007 one. So I will try the challenge by installing an old version of VMWare on it tomorrow.

Some car guys (including me) wondered if the guys who drawed the Honda Crosstour got their inspiration from the Chevrolet Citation?

Today's Windows screenshots from VMWare.

Setup screens of Windows 7 and its server counterpart, Windows Server 7 (finalized as Windows Server 2008 R2), both build 6801.

Desktops of Windows 7 builds 6801 and 7000, and Windows Server 7 (2008 R2) build 6801. The first one is similar to Vista.

Login screen of Windows 7 builds between 6780 and 7070. I love this background, better than the finalized version (build 7077 onwards, all the way up to SP1). This was screenshotted from build 7000.

Ever wonder what if the Green Jacket series had the trademark Yuji Ohno theme for its intro? This should satisfy your curiosity

Two Windows betas today.

Windows Vista build 5472. This has a preliminary version of the login screen's background. The one seen in the official release (build 6000) was introduced in build 5487.
I had some problems with this after installing it. When setting the resolution to 1440x900, as well as logging in after restarting, the screen glitched for about or a bit more than 5 seconds. The second problem was, after surfing some pages in Firefox, the screen on it got blacked or grayed.

Windows 7 build 6519. I really love its boot screen, and this version of the "superbar" (the taskbar with the program buttons seen since that system). :)

I didn't expect for the "unsupported browser" banner to appear on this forum when using an old browser.
Taken from a Windows 8.1 virtual machine, running on Internet Explorer 9 (the browser that comes with Windows 8.1).

Another comparison of some avatars - 16 colors (4-bit depth) VS true-color (32-bit depth).
In order: @Frontier, @jaylop97, @nevocated, @PinkieLopBun, @RegularCapital, @rinachi and @ToonDisneyFanPPG.

Most of the 16-colored versions look similar to the originals, but the one by nevocated, as well as the pink parts seen on Pinkie's, has gone through a massive graying.

Because the phone version of Chrome crashes every time I try to go to AS, I use Samsung Internet from now on.
It seems both interesting and weird, compared to what is seen in Chrome: the color shades' difference and every image (including the avatars) being darker.
I also wrote about it on my newest Deviantart journal.
