Something about Barnyard that bugs me a bit

I was watching a bit of the movie, and while I knew it was different from the series, holy crap.

I mean, look at the series, it's a madhouse series, with all the unortodox jokes, fourth wall breaking and lampshading!

And the movie...it plays it pretty straight, is dramatic at times, and is only a bit funny.

...Anybody care ot explain why it became a very crazy series form a semi-serious movie?

That's exactly what I thought!

The movie was pretty grim, dark, AND epic.

But BATB is just...fun.

I'm sure Nick just made BATB to milk the cash cow and made it less dark.

Y'know, for kids!

What bugs me is how the girl cow in the movie is totally written out to be replaced by Abby(or whatever the country cow is named).

It bugs me that Nick isn't airing new episodes of Back At The Barnyard. I saw on wikipedia that Nick wasn't going to air season 3 of BATB.

I like the series more than the movie acutally, sucks that Miles the Mule isn't in it though.. and did the coyotes ever comeback? ( only saw a few eps).. I suppose they added Abby since she was single and didn't have a kid.. (calf)

It's probably because they didn't want Otis's love interest to be a single mother.

I've seen most of the movie and it does have some darker tones than most of the trailers I remember seeing for it led me to believe. I enjoy the series for its weirdness and humor. I also don't tend to connect it to the movie since I didn't think that the were connected. I don't believe that there are any signs that I recall that says otherwise.

Ret-Con.

It pretty much pulled a Ben 10: Alien Force and, well, you get picture.

ALSO, if you see the series before the movie, it will be an incredibly strange experience.

Here's an example:

See Otis, the cow? Yeah, his dad got murdered, but hey, he makes a lot of funny jokes!

See? THAT JUST SOUNDS WEIRD!

Today marks the 25th Year Anniversary of when Pokémon Crystal was released in North America. To this day, the Johto Games remain my favorite games in the Pokémon Franchise.
Today marks the 15th Year Anniversary of ThunderCats (2011). While I find it unfortunate that the show was canceled before it had a chance to finish its story, I am glad that the show's art director was willing to give fans closure via a podcast interview.
Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
