Do they call him Slade or Deathstroke in this movie, or both?

In press releases, Deathstroke. Trailers, I forget if there are any scenes where they are talking about him or saying his name.

Okay, here's a random complaint. I'm an anti-"JAPAN MAKES THE BEST OF EVERYTHING" guy (kind of ironically, I helped co-found my college's anime club...), so I like to joke how overrated katanas are. I wish they used different swords in the promotional artwork as well as in the scenes released to the public.

Considering Ra's Al Ghul's origins, I wondered about that myself. Shouldn't they be using scimitar swords like a Kilij, Nimcha or a Pulwar?

I get the sense that, overtime, the League of Assassins have moved away from their cultural origins and are now basically just ninjas because it's simpler and "cooler" that way .

Here's updated Blu-Ray-DVD release info - front cover and rear covers for all 3 versions, info on 2 Disc DVD features, and the 2 Disc DVD will release on May 6 but only in Wal-Mart for 6 weeks then there will be a wide release.

Cool clip! I know this probably won't happen, but it would be awesome if Nightwing swooped in to catch Batman and help him defeat Croc, essentially introducing Dick to the audience right away, which would mean we would get Nightwing being awesome, which I'm not sure we'll see much of otherwise...

Anyways, Killer Croc's design looks much better in motion, I really like it.

I like the new clip. I think the animation looked pretty great, and the voice acting seems good enough so far.

"The tail's new", neat line. Hmm, perhaps I should try a Killer Croc retrospective to coincide with the release of the movie?

Just out of curiosity, what was Damian's initial reaction to meeting Batman in the comics? Because in the clip where they were talking, he called Talia mother, which, to me, implied that he had a great deal of respect for her. But in the comics, what was his impression when he first met daddy? Ra's and Talia both had nothing but respect for Batman, and since Damian said that "he does fine on his own" in the clip, i can't really imagine this being a "where were you all this time?!" scenario.

Because in the clip where they were talking, he called Talia mother, which, to me, implied that he had a great deal of respect for her. But in the comics, what was his impression when he first met daddy? Ra's and Talia both had nothing but respect for Batman, and since Damian said that "he does fine on his own" in the clip, i can't really imagine this being a "where were you all this time?!" scenario.

He isn't respectful to anyone, he just calls them "mother" "father" "grandfather" etc. Its just how he talks. His first meeting with Bats was holding a sword to his neck saying "Hello Father. I thought you'd be taller."

Son of Batman will be available beginning April 22nd, 2014 as a special two-week digital preview download, via iTunes and select other digital outlets, before officially hitting shelves on May 6th, 2014. The movie is also being shown this coming weekend at WonderCon 2014. The only legal copies of the movie currently available to view are those being sent to journalists, bloggers, and movie critics. Well, i finally watched this movie and i can't think of a lot of bad things to say about it... at all. Batman and Damian's interactions didn't leave a bad impression (mostly because Damian's behavior is to be expected of someone with his upbringing), and the fight sequences (while graphic and ...really really gory) were pretty good. The ending seemed to fit and didn't leave a bad impression either (though it feels like my mind is trying).

Haven't seen the film, but in the comic he didn't meet his mother until he was eight or something. So meeting his dad was just phase two, not the typical "where were you" kind of deal. Damian doesn't respect anyone for the most part, but his father is the exception, he really wants his approval.

Anyway I hear the film has leaked and gotten bad reviews. Really disappointing, considering that Morrison's Batman is probably the best superhero run of the decade.
