Well, I just finished watching the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and it left me in the mood for a good, laugh out loud, comedy-filled anime. I haven't seen many of these (of what I have seen, Full Metal Panic Fummoffu is the king). Any recs?

I would go with Ranma 1/2. It has a nice blend of action and comedy. It never gets too serious and most of the episodes tend to be episodic.

I also suggest Shin-Chan. The FUNi dub for it, while re-written for adults, is still pretty funny. The show airs will air on Adult Swim again on April 5th at 12:00 am Eastern.

Comedic animes? Hmm,

Azumanga Daioh
Bo^7
Minami-Ke
Lucky Star

Those should help. :)

EXCEL SAGA
GO. WATCH.NOW.

& Ouran High School Host Club.
Ouran is the only subbed anime that could ever make me spit water out of my mouth from laughing so hard. Gintama is also very lol worthy.

Another vote for Azumanga Daioh. It's a very funny high school comedy.

Azumanga Daioh is really funny....and Ranma 1/2 can be at times...
I also like the Shin-chan dub, which airs on Adult Swim

Humor-wise,I also love Fruits Basket, though it's also very sad in places....

Wow, thanks everyone!

I love the Shin Chan FUNimation dubs as well, but the original is also funny. I seen a few episodes of Shin Chan in Japanise, even though most of them don't have sub titles, it was still funny.

If you can find them -- Tokimeki Tonight (Ransie la Strega) and Kabamaru are too very funny 80's series. The latter is especially laugh-out-loud.

Cromartie High (only the dub)

Ranma 1/2 and Gokudo are two very funny series.

Also, the Megas XLR animated series is an EXTREMELY funny series that parodies a LOT of anime series. :D

Ninja Nonsense was probably the funniest anime comedy I watched in 2007. And RightStuf just released the complete collection, so I'd recommend that.

You seem to like Kyoto Animation comedy, so the natural next choice is Lucky Star; though it's nowhere near as tightly paced as Haruhi it still has its moments. If you enjoyed the otaku elements of Haruhi, then try Genshiken or Welcome to the NHK, both good otaku comedies. If the manic humor was what drew you to those shows, then watch Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, FLCL or Excel Saga (in descending order of recommendation).

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
