So I've been catching up on this show since it's ending and all, and I just saw these last two.

I gotta say, I do think this final season has been rather weak overall in comparison to 7 (which is one of the best seasons the show had), but holy moly, these past few episodes have been phenomenal.

It's building up a great amount of tension and suspense, and in the case of Meet the Seer, has been making fun of itself quite significantly, to the point where it even commented on its whole existence.

I still think the switchup in focus compared to the previous season wasn't exactly for the better, but if they nail these last episodes, too, I may just rethink that.

Regardless, this show, which I've been watching since my freshman year in high school (the day before that started, too), have commented on in these forums for several years, and have loved to death in spite of its faults, is one of my favorite animated shows of all time.

Well I haven't commented in a while. Good to be back.

Interesting couple episodes. "Meet the Seer" was my fav of the two especially the moments of reflecting back parts of episodes and how real it is the show is ending. Wanted to scratch my head over "there will always be reruns" though...... anyways, the ending is seeriously happening 2 days as of this post!

There was a new episode today? And CN didn't advertise a single ounce of it. Oh boy...but I digress.

It was a pretty good prelude to the finale, and well all things considered with "Planet Nielsen" and the like it was fitting as it was tragic.

For better and worse, Regular Show is going to be remembered as a staple of CN.

Will they upload those 2 episodes online since I missed most of it I last saw it conclude on the last episode. First of all why did they put it so early. Lot of people must of missed it because of the early timeslot. It should it aired in the night time slot instead.

I actually forgot it was new today. Fortunately, my DVR is still set to record new episodes. I thought these were good episodes. Looks like it should be an interesting finale.

So pops really is the naive man from lolliland after all!

It was nice of them to reference the short Pops came from.
I wonder if they're gonna reference 2.A.M in the P.M. for the finale?

Cartoon Network already uploaded these two episodes on their app and website weeks ago as part of their "See it First" thing. I already watched these two episodes because of that. :p

Kill 'Em With Kindness and Meet The Seer were pretty awesome/intense/enjoyable,

Pops' telepathic powers were amazing.

Poor Pops naiveness, but Pops wanting Anti-Pops to change was nice.

Farewell poor Earl.

I get a feeling there's gonna be another way in Pops' final battle.

An intense dark ending.

Cool to see Reel-to-Reel, and Black and White is pretty cool:D.

Cool that the epic Format Wars is involved in it, Evil Internet will return.

The Microwave Doctor was great for helping Pops, he'll be missed.

HD DVD and Blu-Ray were pretty cool, DVD has siblings, interesting, Rest In Peace poor DVD.

The Seer, awesome interesting funny new female supporting character.

Love the Pops' short reference, previous Regular Show season callbacks, and poor Mordecai's terrible love triangle arc.

The Seer breaking the 4th wall on the show coming to an end.

Love Streaming, awesome new dangerous villain.

Farewell Reel-to-Reel, Black and White, HD DVD/BluRay, and the Seer, lots of awesome characters' brave sacrifices:eek:.

I'll enjoy its epic finale which I'll miss Regular Show, Season 8 was pretty great/enjoyable with the cool crazy space adventures.
Yvette Brown and Gillian Jacobs guest starring was great.

Meet the Seer was fantastic. I love seeing a continuation of the Format Wars, them poking fun at the Neilsen ratings system, and of course the Seer herself in all her meta glory.

And the show ends with them going to Loliland. A nice callback to the student short! I wasn't excited for the finale but I definitely am now.

Pretty great episodes. Though that line "Everyone loves reruns" bother me because it sounds so awkward to say that at this point (Cough cough Endless TTG reruns).

Also with Yvette Nicole Brown and Gillian Jacobs guest starring, I notice Regular Show had used almost of the stars from Community to have a voice role.

But it's true.

I've been binge-watching this season in the past week or two, and while my feelings towards it overall have been mixed (part of the charm of the earlier seasons was just how down-to-earth the situations were - at least, to begin with), I've still for the most part enjoyed what I saw and there are still a lot of great stories and ideas in there. I especially appreciate what they did with Pops; as outlandish as the idea is, it's definitely given him a great amount of character development, something he surprisingly hasn't gotten much of throughout the series. Episodes like "Kill 'Em With Kindness" are a great example of that.

That being said, none of the episodes were quite as memorable as Meet the Seer. I always love it when this show gets all nerdy, and it's in full effect there, and it carries a bittersweet vibe that still feels somewhat uplifting in the end. I am a little bugged by how they antagonize online streaming, since I support it over live television for reasons I've beaten into the ground, but it's tongue-in-cheek enough for me to get the feeling that the creators didn't really mean it (especially given how horribly out of date most of the older mediums are) and there's enough technical humor for me to look past that.

The Format Wars stuff and the Seer stuff was weak IMHO. For starters, I don't get why streaming is the villain and all the other old formats are allies, considering a lot of new ones made old ones obsolete, just like streaming internet/wifi. Streaming isn't a new thing either. It's been around longer than Blu-ray HD-DVD.

Also, I don't like that these episodes made like Nielsen some sort of benevolent entity. Nielsen system was always a garbage system and it destroyed plenty of good shows prematurely. Nielsen was used as long as it was because there was really nothing else.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
