The Dark Knight in 60 Seconds - ANIMATED

Hi guys. It's been a while since I been on ToonZone. Anyway, i just wanted to spread of work of this one-minute short I worked on for a contest up in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

It's for the Virgin Radio 2012 Fake Film Festival, where you re-enact a movie in 60 seconds or less. I chose to do "The Dark Knight." And to differentiate myself from other contestants, i decided to animate it. You can find it here:

Please watch the vid, and spread the word! It was animated in flash using classical and puppet animation techniques. since i have limited resources, i had to provide the voice and lame sound effects hahaha. but i think it turned out alright, considering the time constraints and my other freelance projects.

I saw this a few days back and didn't have much time to give a good response.

All I can say is that was really good! The voice acting was decent, but the animation really nicely stood out to me and made up for it. Props to you!

Thanks for the feedback, you guys.... Believe me, I did not enjoy doing the voices for this thing. I completed the entire "film" in about 2 weeks and a day. I was already burnt out from doing all the character builds and animation... by the second week of work, I caught the flu... so not only was I deliriously trying get the animation done, but I had to work through a cough & a sore throat to get the voices done.

I know Christian Bale gets a bad-rap for his "Batman" voice... but I think i actually respect him AND the voice a lot more now hahaha

anyway, an UPDATE. "The Dark Knight in 60 Seconds" made it into the TOP 24 of the competition! I'm eligible for either a People's Choice award that's worth $1000, or the Grand Prize of $10,000! For this round, I'm being judged by:
- The entertainment value of the "film"
- How accurate it is to the original
- How I promote it.
