The New Toonami Ratings Thread (now with more civility!)

Despite what…happened, I still think there should be a ratings thread for Toonami. But here’s some new rules:
· Only talk about Toonami ratings. Do not talk about ratings of other networks, or box office numbers, or other ratings information that is not Toonami ratings information.Although, since this is also an [adult swim] forum, you could mention some [ adult swim] ratings, but only if it’s relevant to Toonami’s ratings.
· Be Respectful of others. Do not call people names or be rude to people.
· Do not discuss potential acquisitions for Toonami. This is a ratings thread, not aspeculation thread for when or if a new show will come to the block, even if you want to talk about what the ratings would be if it came to the block. Such discussion should go in the Toonami News and Discussion Thread. Not here.

Also, yes, the Saturday night ratings being up 40% from a year ago.
That was very good news to wake up to.

Yeah, I take these recent tweets from DeMarco that Toonami is continuing to do well! No need to panic for quite some time, hopefully! Looking forward to seeing how IGPX and One Piece perform, though I'm a bit nervous at the same time. I agree that we shouldn't look so critically at total viewers as we have before, as it is the key demo ratings that really matter, which have been excellent.

Thats really cool! Online, some people were actually reacting badly to the Oblivion stuff, saying that Toonami had "sold out". Well, whatever, it worked!

Not bad at all.

Soul Eater is still not doing as well as I had hoped it would, but considering last week’s episode was action less, this was a good performance for it.
Thundercats looks to be a weak link at 1:30am. It got less ratings than Symbionic Titan. Both shows will be moving soon anyway, so this isn’t too bad.
Those ratings for the last half of the block are incredible. Over 700,000 for both InuYasha episodes? Almost that much for Tenchi Muyo! GXP, Brotherhood, and a Cowboy Bebop? That’s incredible! Hopefully we can see ratings like this more often.

ThunderCats only lost about 100,000 from Soul Eater and considering it had an episode airing snaffu the week before that's a decent recovery. Interesting that Titan narrowly beat it. I'd prefer for Titan to air at 3AM after E7 to keep the mecha block going but they'll probably stick to running TC at 3AM when GXP ends.

Overall a very good night with an over 800,000 average.

I imagine the meat of the Chunin exams will bolster Naruto nicely in the weeks to come and Soul Eater probably wont do much less than it does at 1:30 which should make it look comparatively better in the slot but it has a few more weeks at 1AM before that move happens.

I anticipate IGPX getting around 800,000 at 2AM but we'll see.

Wow! I'm just impressed with InuYasha! My memory doesn't recall the last time it reached 700k, despite it's total viewers and not 18-34.

I'd of liked to see Soul Eater reach the millions, but I'm fine with it in the 900s. Hopefully I'll see it at least one more time in the millions before it moves to 1:30


Nice way for TOM 3/3.5 to go out. Will be fun to see the whole thing and see where all shows ranked among viewer averages.

Those are really nice ratings. Bleach and Naruto hit the one million mark as usual. While Soul Eater still have a significant drop from Naruto, it did pretty well. Thundercats and Sym-Bionic Titan did better than they have for awhile. The ratings for the later hours are quite impressive, especially the ratings for Inuyasha. I wonder if part of the reason the ratings are higher was because this was the last week before the new TOM design appears. Regardless, I'm glad to see that the block did so well this week.

InuYasha's ratings are likely more as a result of people who wake up early, rather than people who have been up all night.

Eventually we'll be able to compare Looney Tunes ratings at 6AM on CN to see how it did compared to InuYasha that morning.
