I believe if the people of Metropolis had used the Nuclear Warhead, Darkseid would have been finished, your thoughts? It's just my opinion, so don't flame me for it.

Digu Volz said:It's a possibility since the characters aren't anywhere near as durable as they are in the comics.
SilverKnight said:One problem with that. Using a nuke in downtown Metropolis would have wasted the entire city, and the radiation would have traveled down the east coast to Gotham, Bludhaven, and anything nearby.
Besides, I don't think a nuke could kill Superman (if you go by how he is in JL, and I'm assuming their near to same strength). That meteor blowing up in War World pt 1 was probably close to a nuclear blast, and if he wasn't iced, I doubt Darkseid would be, either.

In any case, while animated characters are a question, the comic versions definitely would survive. Actually, Darkseid ( when he's not being massively jobbed ) probably wouldn't even feel a nuclear blast point blank.
JusticeLeagueLegion said:I've seen no evidence to support that...I don't think it would kill Darkseid...maybe knock him out...maybe.
JusticeLeagueLegion said:The thing is, in both the comics, and the animated shows, there are inconsistincies in Superman's strength...I remember in one comic Superman caught a Gargoyle that was knocked off of a building...and he was actually struggling from it...but in another comic (no, not a Pre-Crisis one) Superman caught an airplane with almost no struggle at all...So you see, I don't think that the animated Superman is any weaker than the Superman from the comics...he's supposedly the same strength...it's just that the writers screw up sometimes and makes him seem weaker...especially in the first season of Justice League. But writers in the comic books do it too. So I don't think that Superman and Darkseid would be killed (But possibly knocked unconsious) by a nuke. But I definitly don't think that Darkseid wouldn't even feel it at point blank range...a blast like that would hurt him a little...I don't see how it could make him bleed or anything but it would stun him a little. But then what do I know?
Digu Volz said:Superman has struggled with quite a bit less in the toon than in the comics (where has has pushed a planet and dug trenches in the moon) and his blows were capable of hurting Darkseid, who (wrecked Superman in the comics even when he was angry with less than five hits), by this logic, must also be weaker. Though it's unknown how durable Darkseid in the 'toon actually is, I'd assume it's comparatively less than comics (but then again it might not be). Either way, it's a theory, and has support, and since scientific facts can actually be just probable theories, it has validity.
JusticeLeagueLegion said:The Superman from the current comics CANNOT move planets...the Superman from the Pre-Crisis comics could...don't confuse them. It was even mentioned in an issue of SUPERMAN recently that he couldn't move planets..
Digu Volz said:Actually he DID move War World during OUR WORLDS AT WAR, meaning it is WITHIN his CAPACITY. NEVERMIND the FACT that if you compared strength FEATS, animated Supes probably wouldn't even REACH class 100.
There's no point in using CAPS, I can read just fine and my vision is exceptional, nevermind my computer not being a thousand miles away or anything.
