Broadcast Order: Season 23, Episode 4
Production Order: Season 22, Episode 21

Writers: Stephanie Gillis
Director: Mark Kirkland

A new episode airs tonight at 8 PM Eastern. Here is the synopsis:

Homer gets a new assistant named Roz who is secretly out to steal Homer's job.

No worries. If Frank Grimes couldn't, then no one can.

I think they already had a chicken do his job.
And a toy bird that bobs up and down, but he didn't do such a great job.
Better off with the chicken.

That couch gag was pretty good.

Funny shout out to Uter's eventual disappearance from the series.

RIP, Mrs. Glick.

Damn, Frink...you got it like that?

Cutest seal EVER!!!
Awwwwwww....
Too bad Bart and Martin failed to realize that the baby seal's hind flippers is inaccurate.

Also, I've seen cuter seals (be it real life or animated), although it is true that it's hard not to resist the charm of one of these suckers.

Great episode :anime:
Nice to have Jane Lynch to guest star
My favorite parts are The Homer Humiliater, The Baby Seals,Flanders fainted, and Roz throw Mr.Burns XD

Funny shout out to Uter's eventual disappearance from the series.

I think you mean "funny shout out to Uter's CONTINUED disappearence from the series" as he's been missing for seasons though I think they did a far funnier joke about that in "Guess Whose Coming to Critcize Dinner?" then the one here.

Still this one wasn't really all that bad. I think though they made Homer far too dumb at some points (not realizing that his job paid the billis or even that Ross was trying to compliment him. There's stupid humor and there's way too dumb to ever believe someone could be that stupid Homer and that one is too out of reach to really be funny) and honestly the whole ending of the seniors being watched by the senior company being watched by Jesus and Mrs. Glick (yeah who wants to be how that won't wind up being a parement death? And didn't the latest TOH just do the same joke with an afterworld entity and a springfielian female?) just felt overly wacky and nonsensical. And not in a self mocking way just in a "that's the only way we could think of to end it way". Also, was it just me or was there literally an an act that lasted only ONE minute. I know the new set up of how they divide commericals can be wonky but a single minute? That's just ridicolous when the commerical breaks are longer then an actual segment of the show.

There were some good moments though: Itchy and Scratchy Frankenstein, the random beach ball being passed by the office, Bart actually making a Homer Humiliator, Homer and Barney seeing a Paul Blart beach cop movie (heh too bad Simpsons can't be too timley as they should of had that animal come up and speak to him and talk about getting back his girl to refrence Kevin James's Zookeeper), Frink having an actual date with Ms. Wynoming (though that went on a bit long), "Who squealed on me?" "Let's just say their initials were S.F" "Stupid Flanders!" and Smithers trying to get Homer unstuck from the trophy. Probably the best overall episode this season as none of it felt like that much of a waste despite the flaws within the show.

I was pleasantly surprised by this episode. I think the Bart/Martin subplot was a lot better than Homer's but they both had some really funny gags, like Nelson's summon and Bart's science model.

3rd act was really weak and abrupt though.

Wow it looks like they're slowly getting rid of the minor characters of this show now. Didn't expect them to kill off Mrs. Glick.

Frink you idiot you have a (by this shows standards) a beautiful woman who wants you and you blow her off to pal around with two boys and your unfortunately named group

The couch gag was great, and Bart's apathy combined with line "Who cares? I'll be president of hell by then" definitely had a classical-Simpsons feel to it. Martin's daydream felt pretty old school fell as well. Doesn't feel like it quite holds it together, but it was okay. The Bender cameo was welcome, and the cut backs to Marge grooming were creative piece of direction. I also enjoyed the NAMBLA joke and the Homer worshiping Flanders bit.

Jane Lynch was put to good use, her character was amusing.

Can't believe they killed off Mrs. Glick. Actually, I can believe it, but the fact they did it in such a gruesome and vile way is pretty unsettling. The woman loved snakes but was killed by a baby seal...weird.

This one was amusing...My favorites parts were Homer worshipping Ned after learning Roz's weakness, revealing to Roz how he knew her weakness (Homer: "His initials are S.F."...Roz:"..Stupid Flanders!"),and Frink blowing off his model girlfriend to help out Bart and Martin...

I must be the only one who doesn't find baby seals cute (maybe it's the big, dark eyes..they kinda creep me out)...and I find most baby animals cute (kittens, puppies, and ducklings are my faves)...

As I previously mentioned, while the mechanical baby seals are get cuter as the episode progressed, not only have I've seen cuter baby seals in either animated form or real life, but there's also the fact that the toy seals were inaccurate when it came to their hind flippers (which appeared to be more like legs in this episode).

This episode felt weird in some parts but overall was pretty amusing. I'm surprised they killed off a character, but it was cool seeing her dancing with Jesus in heaven.

I have another theory as for why Johnny Bravo is neglected by CN nowadays. Putting aside the basic concept, it's the retools that made the show chaotic.
