That is too bad. While it was always on the lineup, I didn't mind that since it's a good show and I think that it usually had pretty good ratings to justify why it was on the lineup. It's been on the block, as well as regular Adult Swim, for a long time, so it did get plenty of airtime at least. A part of me would like to see them get the original series on the lineup, but that's mainly because it would finally give me an excuse to watch the whole thing.

I always thought FMA would leave by next year. I think that show needs a break from TV for a while. I am surprised to hear that Deadman Wonderland is coming back and it is nice to hear that Bebop will air in HD.

No surprises there. Attack on Titan season two already being heavily requested does make me wonder if they'll try to get a simulcast dub similar to what they did with Space Dandy. It might be difficult to pull off, but I'm sure both Funimation and Toonami would like that since a dub would be available much earlier than usual. Toonami could get great ratings, while Funimation could potentially get more money from their streaming services and DVDs for the second season.

I can see them getting AoT II, though we wouldn't get it until possibly spring/summer 2016.

As far as Sailor Moon goes, probably just Crystal. IIRC, nothing older than Bebop. Despite DBZ is that, it's condensed to Kai, whereas the new Sailor Moon dub is basically that, + the episodes ADV Films didn't dub, so there's not much 'new' to it aside. Not that I'd be against it though. Don't know if I'd want another long series on though, cause I think it's good that something short can air as early too just to keep a good flow of fresh content. Crystal probably wouldn't be ready until next summer or fall at its rate. It'd have enough episodes to get by weekly, and then the eventual month off for movies, so we could see it on.

I know just because it's on the top 5 doesn't necessarily mean it'll happen, especially with the yearly budget and other shows with more new episodes to come as well as re-running shows. Even if I don't watch a couple of them, hope it works out for the fans who do enjoy them that they find their way to Toonami. Most of those shows are short anyway that it could likely be done. I'm not a business man in any aspect, and I've probably neglected to read into any related posts, so I'm not sure if the price for a show may decrease in time, so I'm not sure if it makes it easier to get them if easy means not as costly as freshly produced. (did I lose anyone here?)

Among the 5, even if it doesn't say "Crystal" next to it, Sailor Moon is my #1 want-to-see from that list. Don't have an opinion on a 2nd pick, so if one of those others makes its way, I'll check it out.

Also, I wonder if it's the newer Hunter X Hunter that's requested. I imagine 'yes', but even the original is newer than Bebop, so ~~

Toonami already has four long running series on their lineup. They don't need to make it five. I would prefer Crystal on the lineup anyway since that would be new and I think that I kind of like it more than the original series anyway. Although, I'm not sure how they'll handle dubbing Crystal. A part of me thinks that they'll wait until they finish redubbing the original series since I think that there's more demand for that at the moment. Plus, they may get another season of Crystal after it finishes its twenty-six episode run to finish adapting the rest of the manga, so Viz might want to save dubbing Crystal until its closer to ending in Japan too. I'm not sure if either series is an option for them financially since I'm sure trying to get either the original Sailor Moon or Crystal would be expensive.

While that might be true of the original adaptation, it's a rather poor adaptation and has an extremely low quality dub (I still don't get why Viz thought it'd be a good idea to give Hunter x Hunter to Blue Water, one of the most notoriously bad dubbing studios in Canada, other than wanting to be cheap). The dub isn't even complete, the last 30 episodes (the OVA episodes) were never dubbed so it stops 3/4ths of the way through the Phantom Troupe arc.

I imagine people are definitely referring to the 2011-2014 adaptation, and I agree it'd fit perfectly on Toonami. Companies here are well aware that a lot of people really want to see it licensed and dubbed, so it's only a matter of time. It's a bit odd that it hasn't already been snatched up yet though; unlike Jojo's infamous licensing problems, there shouldn't be anything holding up Hunter x Hunter....

Even if DBZ is Kai, it's still the same DBZ, just cutting out stuff. No new animation besides the opening or ending. So I see no reason why Sailor Moon can't air, as it's not the same show that was shown back on Toonami in the late 90s. The only problem I can see is the fact of it being a very long series. However, Toonami could pull in some great ratings if they throw Sailor Moon right before Dragon Ball Z, it'd be a nostalgia trip. And in the case of Sailor Moon, at least we'd know it wouldn't go on forever, unlike One Piece and Shippuden.

I wouldn't be surprised if TV rights to Sailor Moon were a little more cheaper to grab than Crystal (once that gets dubbed) because it is older. Viz is likely going to milk Crystal for a few years before negotiating on a reasonable price for TV rights, similar to The Final Act.

Farewell Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It has had a fantastic run, keeping anime alive until Toonami rolled in, having some rating wonders on the latter half of the block especially with the key demos, and being one of two shows to be on without a single break since the return (actually since it premiered).

It is one of top favorite anime. I'll miss it, but everything needs a break. That said, I hope they give it the Bebop treatment and get it again sometime. I think it has earned it.

Apparently, FUNimation did Toonami a favor with Deadman Wonderland. I'm assuming they let Toonami get the show back for a really cheap price or possibly even for free.

That would be my guess as well. Maybe the contract for Brotherhood expiring caught them by surprise and they needed to make a last minute addition to the schedule, so Funimation helped them out by giving them a show at a really cheap price, if not free.

maybe it was due to FUNi's "confusing"? terms when it came to what Toonami could/couldn't air for Hellsing Ultimate?? A sort of "Our bad, here's an offer as an apology on our part" thing?

I'm hoping Deadman's less censored now that a certain word is openly allowed on AS and that Bebop is fully uncensored.

Also I'd love to see the original FMA back at some point, but you can't have everything I guess.

So in case you were wondering, Jason DeMarco confirmed that CN has lost the rights to Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Our local CN (RSEE) pulled it off the schedule around the same time, but one of the PRs told me that they haven't lost the rights and it'll surely be back next year. Well, either this is a US only thing or CN RSEE's staff should know better before they answer questions.
