"Toonami" News & Discussion Thread

It probably is another One Piece promo since I don't know if they would have room for another new show on the lineup. Although, since he doesn't mention the show's name, that does make me wonder if it could be another new show.

I was expecting there to be a new lineup promo this week since the schedule is going to be changing next week but a new promo is fine too.

A promo, he says. Another One Piece promo? I guess so, unless another show slot is opening up, or they're cutting a run of a show short or something.

Either Tom's gonna give us another message about believing in ourselves, or we're getting another weird "music video."

I wouldn't mind seeing that one DJ Technorch 〜ATARAXIA〜 music video.

Awesome, Steven J. Blum pirate voice.

CabooseJr does some nice work:

Missed it because I had to babysit... I'm guessing the new promo isn't newsworthy since nobody posted about it? (Guessing it was another One Piece promo.)

Here's the promo if you want to see it:

Another One Piece promo, instead of recycling the one from the previous week, made sense. I wasn't expecting the pirate voice though.

Hey, thanks everyone. That pirate announcer is a pretty creative decision on Toonami's part. I hope that airs a lot, especially during the Fox shows this week. It'd certainly attract people who are into pirates. =)

Now I wonder how many One Piece episodes I can watch in a week...

The pirate ' announcer " is still steve blum believe it or not , thats why hes the best in the biz

I thought the "Pirate Announcer" was just TOM doing a pirate voice. They really shut of cut to TOM at the end and had him "look" at the camera embarassed for his accent and then speak regularly or something like that. Still pretty good promo and I even liked how they tried to have a good deal of it in rhyme and actually showed some clips of previous arcs of OP.

Heh the Bellamy one is especially good if you've been reading the manga lately.

I still think we should of had some sort of recap special of some sort first as honestly people are going to be fairly lost who are just watching it on Adult Swim Toonami for the first time but eh at least they are advertising it well. Better even then when Toonami actually first showed One Piece thinking about it. Though maybe that's because at the time Toonami just had 4Kids One Piece and never advertised Funimation was dubbing the show now when they got to the Jaya Arc.

Oh man, that's crazy! They would have to pay me big time to do that!!!

Marooned on One Piece Island. This is an interesting way to hype up One Piece beginning its Toonami run.

That is an interesting way to hype up One Piece airing on Toonami. While I would like to watch those episodes of One Piece, I definitely wouldn't be interested in doing something like this, even if it involved a high payment of cash.

I thought those "One Piece in 60 Seconds" promos were stupid and somewhat insulting to the content, but this is a really hilarious and creative marketing idea.

" I thought the "Pirate Announcer" was just TOM doing a pirate voice." and before that post i said it was steve blum who did the voice you know?

Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
