So it has to be 15 minutes long. Adventure Time is looking more likely, but I still have a hard time believing that.

With Eva 2.22 starting at 12am, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood will be the only show to have aired on every single night of Toonami since its return.

If the movie takes that long it's a good thing they put it on first though. Can't really guess what the special is because no way it can be Adventure Time accordung to information they've given us earlier. Maybe Johnny Quest? I don't know.

I thought they killed the backdoor schedule.

EVA 2.22 taking 45 minutes longer to air than its predecessor even though the movie is only 10 minutes longer doesn't make any sense unless they're loading it with extras. Which makes me wonder if we're getting an unexpected TIE/promotional event that night.

They killed the On-Air Schedule grid. The actual backdoor schedule is still accessible.

What if the AT crew created an 11 minute short this season that doesn't feature any of Adventure Time's titular characters... a one-off story based around a few new characters in the Adventure Time universe could be plausible. Better chance of not affecting Brand Image, too.

That "Bee and Puppycat" idea would be fantastic though! Adult Swim could use a new animated series, let alone an original series on Toonami. In fact, Bee and Puppycat could be the perfect fit for this new Toonami....... Okay. It's hard not to get hyped-up thinking about that. I should stop. I should maintain zero-expectations.

Man, that movie taking up nearly four hours is really strange. They must either have a ton of commercials or something special during its run time.

Let's not forget Flapjack always said "ADVENTURE!" And that's just as (un) likely as Adventure Time.

I do think Johnny Quest would be cool to see on Toonami again.

My far fetched guess is something involving the TOM/Absolution storyline.

Eva 2.22 comes in at just under two hours, so I don't know why that slot is so huge, unless they're really going to have that many commercial breaks...Which really won't be good for the pacing of this particular movie.

That would be really awesome. There is that chance. We'd learned questions would be answered by those 2 sometime, so what better than to do it after the movie! (for approx 11m)

Some highlights from the Reddit Q&A.

* Tenchi Muyo GXP wasn't what they'd hoped.
* HD Cowboy Bebop depends on the deal they make with FUNimation.
* Contrary to popular belief, there's no serious conflict between Sentai Filmworks and Toonami. (This one I asked myself)
* Attack on Titan is currently Toonami's most requested show outside of DBZ.
* Show consideration is based on action quotient.
* The Ben 10 toy commercials aired during Eureka Seven because of it being part of the show's broadcast terms.
* The inability to expand to 11 PM has nothing to do with Fox's ADHD. (Another question of mine, due to Fox and [as]'s relationship)

So, basically, there are many shows they would like to air, but it comes down to money. Also, I'm glad to see he's a fan of Ranma 1/2.

I'm not surprised that GXP wasn't what they hoped for. Though, considering how turned off I was with the first few episodes, I wonder what they saw that gave them hope it would be good, besides the fact that it was a Tenchi series. I'm not too surprised that Attack On Titan is heavily requested. I haven't seen any of the episodes, but I know that it is quite popular. I'm also not surprised that ADHD has nothing to do with their inability to expand to the 11PM hour.
