Toonami Ratings

Toonami should aired on Saturday Evenings on Cartoon Network for the Kids and Teens.

Can we please stop saying stuff about Toonami should have been put on/be moved to Cartoon Network?

I do think that Cartoon Network should have a small pre-Toonami block of anime on Saturday night. Maybe add an action movie to that. But the only people who care about the Toonami branding nowadays is over 18 now.

Week 5 Ratings will be great. If The Toonami Ratings goes down, we should be worried about the future of Toonami and it's returned about an month ago. Toonami should aired on Saturday Evenings on Cartoon Network for the Kids and Teens.

Cartoon Network doesn't seem to be too interested in making another action block at the moment and considering that the bulk of people who are Toonami fans are well outside of the demographic for Cartoon Network, it makes more sense to put it on Adult Swim than to put it back on regular Cartoon Network.

A small pre-Toonami block could have been pretty cool, but since Cartoon Network doesn't seem to be interested in non-toyetic anime series at the moment, that would have been difficult to pull off.

I do hope that next week's ratings for the block are mentioned in the next press release. At least that way, we can get a good idea on how the block is doing and know that it's standing out, which it really needs to in order to continue.

I still feel like if Toonami was in real trouble ratings-wise, DeMarco would say something to us.

I think that If adult swim/toonami didn't play ghost in the shell and cowboy bebop into the freaking ground like they have been for the past few years and got some new stuff I think they would see better ratings

They have almost nothing to replace it with, and what they have would also be reruns. They don't have a big enough budget to get new series in their place.

Unless something really cheap falls into their hands or pay to play is used.

12:30-4AM did better than the week before actually.

12AM Bleach did a bit worse and so did the 4AM-6AM reruns but I'd say overall this week was better than last week despite finishing lower.

Yikes, looks like Bleach's fillers are starting to slowly tone down the audience. Hopefully the next big canon fight that is going to be happening early in August will bring back the attention.

It would be awesome if Toonami made a nice good promo for it as well.

I could see Toonami promoting canon Bleach. At least old Toonami which had a bigger budget..

I don't think it's completely outside the realm of possibility to see current Toonami make a promo for the upcoming chunk of canon episodes.

Readings the posts you've all made before I clicked the link made me think that the ratings were going to be disastrous, but, they weren't. Didn't Casshern Sins see a rise? Aswell as Deadman? Yea, Bleach fell, but from like a 1.6 to a 1.3, for a show at midnight, targeted to a pretty dedicated audience, that's not bad. Now, I don't know virtually anything about Bleach, but, like others said, I'm pretty positive that when the action filled episodes return, the ratings will rise.

its not that the bleach episodes aren't action filled its the veering away from the main story line that and that they have little or nothing to do with the main story

could it also be that adult swim brought in toonami to get a rise in ratings by bring back something that most of use grew up with and genuinly liked but if that's the fact they're gonna have to do more than just slapping the toonami name and bringing back tom to just announce the shows and do a few game reviews they're gonna have to do more than that:tom:

Haha I wish they'd just take Bleach off the schedule. Wishful thinking I suppose, especially since it's still the number 1 show.

Nice increase in the ratings this week (aside from Bleach), it's nice to see that Toonami is doing quite well for itself and I'm hoping that the block see's an increase in viewership after this weeks airing. Hopefully the Twitter fanbase will rocking tonight and we can get all these shows trending in the U.S and world-wide once again this week to bring more awareness to the programming, the fact that the shows trend on Twitter has to make Williams Street and CN somewhat happy.

good to see that the new shows are doing better. i'm really not that conscerned with the ratings that much anymore for toonami, because i feel that unless something really big interferes, it's going to at least get ratings around these.

As miniscule as it may be, seeing that the ratings (barring Bleach) got an actual "increase" is a bit relieving.
Now is that an increase from the week before, or...?

Increase was Week Five.

Let's hope Week Six does better although this one did okay.

Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
