SHIELD is the absolute worst. I thought this was an okay episode (not as fun as Freaky) but it feels as though everyone goes stupid when the Hulk's around (somehow he's the one with the IQ problems). It was nice seeing the Thing (It seems so rare when they use characters outside of the Avengers roster) and it was cool to see MJ for a couple seconds as well (I guess if anyone would use her, it would be Bendis). It was pretty funny that Hulk had less problems with the phone than Wolverine did and the Bill Bixby reference was a nice touch (not sure that I've ever seen it referenced in a Marvel cartoon). I wonder if any kid knows what Stan's Soapbox is? I probably liked this more than I know but the Hulk induced stupidity of SHIELD was a little annoying.

Tis okay, however, I'll probably need to rewatch this episode a second time before I can give a solid opinion on it. I was half expecting a lot more body switching antics then what we actually got. However, I guess they didn't go that route because they already explored it in "Freaky."

It was nice to see MJ again though. Can't wait for next week's episode. Here's hoping she'll get some decent screen-time in that.

I really enjoyed this episode. Always good to see the Thing, especially fighting the Hulk (or Spider-Hulk is it were). Probably my favorite episode this season.

Meh, this episode was only okay. Re-hashed plot, SHIELD stupidity, and the, IMO, disappointing Hulk and Thing fight kind've wrecked the episode for me. They still can't really show punches? Lame.

Well there is the solution that connects USM and Hulk and the Agent of S.M.A.S.H, Hulk got smarter and said he wants to be alone and ends up in the old Hulk buster head quarters where the story continues.

I was pre-desposed to dislike this episode, as the premise sounded horrible, and that they were going to re-tread the "Freaky" episode, but I was pleasantly surprised. While it was nowhere near as good as last week's Iron Fist-centric episode, the episode was pleasant enough, with the humor being amusing rather than idiotic (even the chibi moment). Granted, Spider-Man in the Hulk's body would have been easy to resolve without the Thing, as all he would have had to do was surrender to Coulson, then SHIELD would have easily captured Hulk-Parker. Then they could have focused on Mesmero (and yes, it would have been easy to write, with Mesmero body-swapping SHIELD agents and civilians as distractions to escape, but I digress).

Some of the jokes were tedious "Purpling my pants" - but other scenes, like Stan Lee's literal soapbox, was mildly entertaining.

The most interesting part was the quest of SHIELD and the Hulk to transition Hulk to a smarter intellect, in prep or the smarter Hulk in AGENTS OF SMASH. Interesting way of trying to dovetail the two series (and possibly three, as different versions of the Hulk was a major stumbling spot for continuity).

1. I like it when the writers start a show with either a fight scene or a chase scene.
2. It was nice that the Wolverine mind swap episode was explicitly mentioned as a lead-in to the events of this episode.
3. Seeing the Thing makes me want to also see the rest of the Fantastic Four at some point.
4. For a few moments, I was thinking that Peter Parker being in Hulk's body would cause a transformation into Banner. But that would have been awkward for both Banner and Parker and it would probably have made the story too complex.
5. I wonder, does the fact that out of all of the members of his team, that Peter called Ava for help, mean that she is his closest friend on the team?
6. We had an Aunt May and MJ sighting.

This was an okay episode. It was cool to see The Thing, would've been even cooler if the rest of the FF got at least a cameo. And at least this episode explained why Hulk's more intelligent in Avengers Assemble and (presumably) Agents of SMASH. Though I wonder if they'll ever address Hulk being on two separate teams.

"If you're paying close attention at the end, even Spider-Man notices that Hulk's speech changes, which is a signal that Hulk is evolving into sort of a new mode which is the Hulk you will see in "Avengers Assemble" and "Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H."
So is "Ultimate Spider-Man" directly connected to those other Disney XD series' similarly to the way the movies and comics work together?
We want them to work on their own, but you will see crossover between the shows. Beyond that, I can't say because we'll want to heavily promote that stuff when it happens."

I'd say this interview pretty much confirms that all 3 shows take place within the same universe and that we'll be getting some sort of crossover down the road.

This is not a very good episode it the same as the last mind swapping episode form season 1 , Leob and Man of Action can never come up with nothing new at all.

Actually, I don't think that's fair - there are some major differences. Aside from using Mesmero and his body-swap abilities, not very similar at all, actually, and given the evolution of the Hulk, used pretty effectively as a deus ex machina

I enjoyed this one much more than the Mid Season premieres. Yeah SHIELD was kind of dumb, but it wasn't as bad as Peter's lack of smarts in Swarm or the absurdity of SHIELD having a daycare on the Tricarrier. Fred Tatasciore does a GREAT job of being Peter in Hulk's body (and Drake Bell is good too)

I saw the episode, but I couldn't coment it until now. This is a good episode, really; if we focus in Peter seeing things through Hulk's eyes. It's true that Hulk has worse situation than Spiderman, but I don't blame Spidey for wanting to make Jameson to shut the hell up. I have always despised Jameson because he remembers me my own father: always criticizing the bad and never appreciating the good. But the truth is, Hulk and Spiderman share a lot of common points in their lives; the only difference is the "scale". Check these:

+ They both have a nutso mustached guy chased them and they never give them a rest. Spiderman has Jameson and Hulk has General Ross.
+ They both are chased by machines designed exclusively to destroy them. Spiderman has the Spider Slayers and Hulk has the Hulkbusters.
+ They both have been married with their biggest crushes. Spiderman had Mary Jane Watson and Hulk had Betty Ross.
+ They both have friends who currently have adquired the powers of their greatest foes. Rick Jones became the new Abomination as "A-Bomb" and Flash Thompson has been bonded with Venom's symbiote.

Curious, huh?

Fred Tatasciore does a GREAT job of being Peter in Hulk's body (and Drake Bell is good too)

I thought Fred did a good job, too. Just like Steve Blum, he seemed to really have fun playing Peter Parker. I liked Drake's performance, too. I'm not always a big fan (if I never have to hear Spidey screaming again, it'll be too soon) but I do think that he's not bad when he has something decent to play off of.

On a somewhat stupid note, I know that it's most likely coincidental but someone at Man Of Action must have really liked Goggle Girl the first time around.

I wonder if this episode is doubling as the backdoor pilot for Agents of SMASH. It seemed to be putting Hulk in that direction. The mindswap altered his mind to make him more coherent. SHIELD is now directed to observe the Hulk and not engage. Hulk left SHIELD to go out on his own again. Looks like the perfect tie-in to put him into the world of Agents of SMASH.

I wouldn't really call this a backdoor pilot, if that were the case we woulda got way more set up and definitely character introductions for the main cast. But yeah it does a good enough job of explaining how Hulk is smarter in SMASH and AA than how he was in S1 of USM.

All right, the Thing! Too bad he couldn't have been in an episode where he's fighting an actual bad guy. Maybe later. I didn't like this one all that much, actually. I was confused as to what SHIELD did with Hulk after the mindswap. Did they just leave him unsupervised in a room?
