I will sum up my thoughts in one sentence: this is the first USM episode that I liked from start to finish, flaws included. :)

Hopefully the show will do more episodes like this one and like "Journey of the Iron Fist".

While this is not the first USM episode that I have liked from start to finish, there are actually a number of epsiodes that fit that category for me, I absolutely agree with the overall sentiment. I thought this was a strong episode. To me it was funny, it had action, and in a lot of ways it introduced me to Deadpool (a character whom I know very little about).

Except this isn't new, Deadpool has beaten in the comics and even in the comics Tasky can't read Deadpool's moves.
Doesn't matter to me in the slightest. The point isn't Taskmaster vs. Deadpool, the point is the overall handling of Taskmaster in this series. Taskmaster was a well developed threat before, and here he was reduced to the level of Batroc, in terms of ongoing plot and competence. They really could (and should) have used someone else instead of ruining Taskmaster.

While I already justified Taskmaster losing to Deadpool and had no problem with that I do agree with you. It sucks that this was his return appearance. Perhaps this lose to the Pool would have been more acceptable is Taskmaster shown up a few more times before this. Had he had a few more opportunities to be bad ass and then we were shown, "oh but his weakness is he can't read deadpool" that would have been better.

But he is not reduced to the level of Batroc and losing to Deadpool doesn't really "ruin" him. And who else could they use? Taskmaster was used because of his connection with Deadpool and there are very few other villains that could have filled the spot.

Sorry, I'm not backing off of this one. They didn't need to use a villain with a "connection" to Deadpool. And what was his connection anyway? They both worked for SHIELD? If anything, if Taskmaster knew he was ineffective against Deadpool, he should have made a tactical retreat instead of futilely fighting him. Nope, this scene was just used to make Deadpool into a bigshot by tearing down a previous bigshot the writers apparently decided they didn't need anymore. In effect, Taskmaster was used for Deadpool the way Batroc is frequently used for Spider-Man (worse in fact, since Batroc occasionally is effective against Spidey).

Surprisingly I really liked this episode even more surprising I really like Will Friedle as Deadpool. He switched between voices alot sort of reminded me of Genie in Aladdin. The fights were really cool and Deadpool taking control of the episode was sweet. Wish there was a better fight between Deadpool and Taskmaster but oh well. Man episodes like this and The Scorpion one are regaining my attention to USM. Hopefully we'll have more like this and less like Itsy Bitsy Spider-man.

I actually loved this episode, and this is coming from someone who disliked almost every episode that's ever aired, with the exception of a select few.

Great episode. Deadpool talking about "un-aliving" people was awesome.

Really fun episode. Will may've gone a bit too far into Ron Stoppable territory, but I enjoyed his Deadpool, particularly the Wolverine impersonation and how fast he talked. Bombs were a nice touch. I liked the multiple choice origins, but I thought all the SHIELD stuff got in the way of a good Spider-Man vs. Deadpool story.

Honestly this was probably my favorite episode of the series so far. The tone of this show just suits Deadpool way better than it does Spider-Man. Deadpool was pretty much perfect in this, which didn't surprise me since Joe Kelly was the one working on this, and he's one of the guys that made Deadpool what he is today. And at first I wasn't a fan of Friedle's voice, but over the course of the episode he won me over. Oh and it was cool to see Taskmaster again, his new outfit is pretty cool.

It's official: I have now preordered GTA VI for PlayStation 5; the more expensive and feature-complete Ultimate Edition of the game, that is. I also intend to buy a PS5 Slim optical drive next month(?) in the hopes of maybe indirectly convincing SIE to reverse its controversial plans to go all-digital on all post–Jan 2028 PS console games, even though GTA VI is a digital-only game.
Happy anniversary to "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout".
