Very disappointed that several unreleased Looney Tunes Cartoons are likely going to be locked in the vault. "Sick as a Hare" got screened at Annecy in 2019 and was even planned to be on HBO Max, but it got effectively banned / delayed due to COVID-19 and the short never got a release since.

HBO Max and their standards and practices execs also flagged shorts that will never air. There are 27 of the 209 shorts produced by Pete Browngardt team that will not get a release for the time being.

And WB refused to let them released on DVD and even Blu-Ray at the last minute because they confirmed all of the HBO Max episodes are their complete version.

"Dynamite Dance" and "Happy Birthday Bugs Bunny!" were both available through YouTube. They also made two vertical shorts that are also YouTube exclusive, "High Hopes" and "Hole Lotta Trouble". Two Tom and Jerry Special Shorts have been made as well, "On a Roll" and "The House That Cat Built", previously on HBO Max, but removed and unavailable elsewhere.

"Sick as a Hare" - Screened at Annecy 2019 but likely banned by WB higher ups due to concerns and similarities with the COVID pandemic.

"There Will Be Fudd", according to a crew member, it got shelved because of misinterpretation concerns with standards & practices eyeing on political sensitivities.

Other short titles that I saw on EIDR, likely screened at the 2023 Animation Is Film Festival are the following.

"Car Wars"
"Big Rig Bunny"
"Pwastic Suwgeon" (Pecs and Calves), two wraparounds that seem to be focusing on Elmer Fudd geting plastic surgery.

"Life Boat", another Porky and Daffy short that got lost in the early stages.

Pete Browngardt did share this on X "Note: There’s a handful of shorts that we made that were considered too extreme for MAX. We hope they’re released some day, but that’s up to WB."

They really can't speak on that matter due to NDA.

Michael Ruocco also shared. "Yeah, one of mine was fully animated but was cut because of S&P. I hope they someday release them. Or hell, do a full series DVD drop with those shorts on there as an exclusive perk to buy the set."

Robert Griggs has shared relating to "There Will Be Fudd!"... "There was something that the PC police feared would be misinterpreted. Nowadays people always want to assume the worst of everything. It was a innocent mundane gag. In the end just not a short they felt strongly enough about to go back to and spend time on."

There was even a Droopy short that got made but never released to this day.

If you get where I'm going with this. It's not really complete, there are several shorts that are fully animated but shelved, some were partially in production but unfinished.

If the Blu-Ray set does well, I hope this could pave the way for a new bonus single disc set featuring all of these lost cartoons and its an adults only release. I want to see Pete Browngardt and crew's complete vision with those missing shorts.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
