What Are You Watching? (Vol. 3)

Watching Christmas stuff and currently watching Real Ghostbusters - Xmas Marks the Spot. Such a great idea for a Christmas ep, and well executed, too.

Is that the one where the Ghostbusters "battle" the 3 Ghosts from Dickens' "A Christmas Carol"? Yeah, awesome episode... :)

Yeah, they capture the ghosts and return to the firehouse, then realize they had gone through a time warp and have essentially wiped out Christmas. I always loved the sequence where Egon actually goes into the containment unit in order to find them and bring them back. Will have to break out my DVD set tonight or tomorrow and give it a watch.

I just marathoned through the mid-season 2 finale of The 100, so I'll be ready for it to come back in January. I thought it was going to be a cheesy, teenage dystopian story when it was first being advertised, but wow, it's actually really good. And there are strong ladies everywhere! Can't wait for new eps to start up again.

I just caught an airing of Jack the Giant Slayer on HBO with my dad, and we weren't fans. While the setups and ideas are nice, the action scenes were a lot of fun, and the villain's weird sidekick was just amazing. Besides from that, I didn't enjoy the characters, the acting was mediocre all around, and the CG went from being okay to laughable. And it didn't help this romance subplot was pretty much Aladdin in medieval times, minus the charm. The movie was just a mediocre action family flick.
Hii It's a remake the original movie Jack the Giant Killer is much better :)

My brother and I rung in the new year with Ghostbusters II on Blu-ray.

Now I've got the television on IFC's Three Stooges marathon.

My brother and I watched The Lego Movie Friday afternoon. What an incredibly tedious, exhaustive, headache-inducing 100 minutes. I'll give it props for the animation, but with its mile-a-minute pacing I was more annoyed than entertained. Felt like I was beaten over the head with visual and aural loudness designed for today's kids with their goldfish-like attention spans. Even worse, it gets all meta and message-heavy in the final act. When I first saw the trailer, I thought it could be either the greatest thing ever or a total disaster. Disappointed it turned out to be the latter.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
