I guess I start by saying I picked up Shakugan no Shana Vol. 1 from Best Buy yesterday.

Wow, don't even know how this slipped my mind (Labor Day weekend I guess.)

PS - Purchases so far:

DVD:

• Eureka Seven v.3 LE - Very nice deal for 40 bucks, considering you get another box good enough to hold 6 DVDs (and with better art than box #1), v.2 of the manga, another cool shirt and of course the DVD.

Manga:

• Onegai Twins - Pretty good for condensing the whole show into a one shot manga. A little fanservicey, but it probably handles some elements a lot better than the TV series because it has to have a certain degree of brevity. I would have liked them to keep in the sidestory with Kousei and Tsubaki, but it's still interesting to see the main story rendered in yet another fashion. Like it's TV counterpart, it's not as interesting or engaging as the Teacher manga, but unlike the Twins TV to Teacher TV comparison, the Twins manga manages to be fairly enteraining in it's own right. I think the novelization might have been the most effective though.
• Tsukihime vol.3 - Which brings the US release current to the Japanese release. It keeps getting better, and I can see why people prefer it's adaption over the anime: it's more ambitious, and it tries to keep more of the original game in the story. Now to wait for a year for more story.

Merch:

• Gunslinger Girl Wallscroll - It features Henrietta and Triela, my two favorites from the cast, so even though I'm complete w/o wallspace, I bought it anyway. I guess it'll be motivation for me to complete my project of cleaning and otherwise rearranging my bedroom. OTOH, I'm not sure whether I need another reminder that the US release of the manga is MIA while the Japanese release is up to volume 7, with the manga seemingly gaining new steam (atleast it's the first time I've seen it on the cover of Dengeki in a while,) and thus perhaps poised to run atleast another couple volumes.

Seirou Gundam arrived yesterday. Ok kit but disapointing in some areas (he's a wolf, not a tiger?!). A Dororo, Giroro and Afro Gunsou kit should also be arriving this month.

Is the His and Her Circumstances thinpack out this month? Most places I've looked have it listed for this month, although Best Buy has it slated for November...

So far, just vol 9 of the FMA manga and New Type USA for me. I ordered some Princess Tutu dvds from ADV's sale, and then waiting for the Comic Party releases later this month. And maybe FMA - The Movie. If I can't muster the patience to wait 'til November...

On the recommendation of others, I purchased the Outlaw Star boxed set off Amazon; it was only $35, too- not bad. I actually ordered it on Thursday, but it won't be here 'til Tuesday at the earliest, so I'm impatiently waiting.
