As cool as that sounds, it would be hard for them to pick up where YJ left off, which seemed to be heading towards Apocalypse. CW would also need a very high budget to do it any sort of justice (no pun intended)

Exactly, I just hope they do it there way this time.. Haha

I've always preferred animation to live action when i comes to superheroes, they just don't translate as well. But what I'm hoping for is that this CW show would raise enough visibility so that we can get that app game + comic strip to do the Apocalypse story.

If "it" is as cleverly written as Young Justice, I'm all for it. If it is as dumb as Smallville, I'm against it.

Guys, it's almost positively not going to be a continuation of the show. Think about it as a reboot inspired by this show. After hearing some new rumours about Arrow Bleeding Cool just posted, and the fact that Arrow and Flash will not be connected to the movies, suggests that The CW will be given free reign to choose which characters they'd like to use soon. That is considering the fact that Fox has Gotham, The CW has Arrow, Flash, and is developing Constantine, an Hourman/Dial H for Hero hybrid, and still has plans for Wonder Woman/Amazon and possibly a Booster Gold/Blue Beetle show.

I know for sure I'd only keep up with this show if Nightwing was on the show, as I truly believe this show is going to start off badly, so I would only watch if there was a character that would get me to watch. Of course, characters like Kaldur'ahm (maybe no mention of Aquaman?), Zatanna (I personally loved her interactions with Dick and Artemis), Wally (spun out of Flash?), and maybe Artemis (she's a fan favourite character from the series so it only makes sense). Of course, Miss Martian and Superboy serving as the leads isn't too surprising, as season one was basically the "Superboy, Miss Martian, Artemis, and Friends" show. Hopefully though, Nightwing or Aqualad serve as the leaders.

Well good, I wouldn't want it to be. I want them to take more influence from the comics. And I want it to tie into arrow if anything! Just replace artemis with Roy

Arrow has been pretty solid and light years ahead of Smallville.

I'm guessing they'll set this in that universe. Though it would then be hard to introduce Wally, when Barry is set to debut this Wednesday as a 20-year old.

Wow! A live-action CW teen titans/young justice series seems like it should've happened long ago, however.
Who I'd like to see:
Robin (There's gotta be a Bat character. I'd hope for Tim)
Speedy (Tie in to Arrow)
Zatanna (Fan favorite)
Kid Flash or Impulse (Flash series tie-in)
Raven (HUGE fanbase)
Beast Boy (Familiar character to non DC die-hards)
Miss Martian (YJ callback)
Superboy (YJ callback)
Let's hope this could spark the return of the animated series!

(Assuming this rumor is true) I just hope they hire good writers. CW has some good will from me because of Arrow, but they still have a lot of shows with poor writing.

But I like to think that this indicates that WB likes the YJ concept, even if it wasn't profitable on CN.

This is actually a really interesting idea, and that's why...it won't happen. Lol. ugh!

If written decently enough, it can provide a refreshing take on the teen drama genre. But I mean.. only if written well.. and it's CW. ugh.

I do think YJ and the whole idea of legacy/generations makes the DC universe that much richer, so I wish we saw more done with the YJ cast list. It's got potential.. I just.. I dunno.

And (relatively) original characters like M'gann, Artemis, and Kaldur were my favorite in the show. I want to see more of them.

Things I would like: 1) Greg and Brandon as producers 2) Real teenagers as the leads as opposed to fake teenagers like Tom Welling 3) Actors who can actually act as opposed to ones who just look good - like Tom Welling. 4) Only introduce storylines which can be done well within the show's budget. (I remember the "epic" final battle between Clark and Darkseid as being especially disappointing.)

Agreed, especially on the teen actors front. On the budget front I do feel like this show will need an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. level budget if it wants to survive. I do see a problem in relating it to arrow or the current DC movies just since YJ is inherently a legacy focused show...

I just noticed how the JL rotate their Chairman roles.

They start with their authorization codes and change every 6 months. So 2 chairman roles in a year.

In year 0 Jan-June was Superman 01 then June-Dec The Batman 02 which was when the Young superheroes were formed

year One Wonder Woman 03 and The Flash 04
Year Two GL 05 and Aquaman 06
year three J'onn 07 and Arrow 08
Year 4 Hawkman and Hawkwoman 09 and 10

Year 5 when Invasion Season hits was when Captain Atom 12 then at the end gave chairman role to Black Canary 13 on July that year.

It skipped Zatarra 11 because he was taken over by Nabu. Hence Captain Atom was the chairman in year 5 then handing it to Canary at the end of series.

Greg just answered a question about this; check out question 3.

This means either Lord Sidious has discovered the biggest coincidence on earth, or Greg's being tricky and saying that the League "voted" on using the system that Sidious is suggesting.

I think the League simply voted to continue with the leadership order. Imagine if a League member who had questions about their ability to lead. There would need to be someway to skip them.

I have to admit, I would love to see how things were like when Green Arrow was Chairman. Unless reflection is right and they voted to skip him.

I wouldn't be surprised though. I doubt Ollie would inspire much confidence as a leader, poor guy...

I disagree with the theory. Captain Atom was leader from the back half of Team Year Five up to July Team Year Six then Black Canary took over. Mr. Weisman already stated a leader's tenure is one year total unless they step down for some reason. So a standard tenure appears to be July to July. And the formal election takes place during the annual November meeting. And the voted leader begins serving in July of the following year.

  1. Batman was likely leader from July Team Year Zero to July Team Year One.
  2. Someone from July Team Year One to Team Year Two.
  3. Someone from July Team Year Two to July Team Year Three.
  4. Someone from July Team Year Three to July Team Year Four.
  5. Someone from July Team Year Four to July Team Year Five.
  6. Then Captain Atom from July Team Year Five to July Team Year Six
  7. And Black Canary from July Team Year Six to July Team Year Seven.
So I think there's been 7 leaders, not 12, during the course of Young Justice. Overall, from when the League was formed, there was 12-13 at the most if there weren't any second terms. The fact Black Canary was after Captain in joining/designation order was likely a coincidence. Mr. Weisman, on the record, admires both characters and likely wanted to get both in as leaders.

Yeah I guess it's just a coincidence then.

If Greg said it's a YEAR leadership then probably all the original 7 was once a Leader starting with Superman 01 before the formation of Young Justice.

JL started 7 years before the events of YJ.

Did Greg ever mentioned when GA and the rest of the other 9 Superheroes joined the original 7??

Happy 20th anniversary to Gummibär/Gummy Bear!

Here's to hoping he releases an anniversary album in stores on November 13th (with lots of music, videos, and extras).
Just brought a Switch 2 this past weekend. I hope Nintendo doesn't follow Sony's suit of getting rid of physical games.
Find it hard to beleive how this upcoming set has more than one normally-considered "politically incorrect" cartoon in new restoration form..
